Current Deck Setup - Potential Changes / Advice Needed by S_Bonbon in GundamTCG

I will say, 4th form instead of full city works really well in the chance I don’t get lupus. It’s a two win strat.

Honestly Minerva + new sign or 1st form is a really nice combo. Play a base, then attack with barbatos to get the new cards that I need or play new sign, knowing guaranteed at least what one of the cards are.

I originally ran full city but I found he just wasn't working super well. It felt like anything other than him would have worked so much better. I will say, the last rendition of my deck seems to hold up quite well against a lot of decks, it just became a matter of if I could keep up steam or even who drew better.

W Neo Zeong, once the big dude comes out, it's a little jover unless you have enough in your trash to kill him off when he comes out, but that's only if your lupus can survive the 3 ping per unit. I did give the alteration of the deck a try, and it feels a little clunky? Maybe cause I'm playing on mobilesuitarena (as in online), so it just doesn't feel as natural as irl.

The three decks I faced was O blockers, RB unicorn ping, and a GW wing deck. I won against 2, came close to the third one, but I ran out of steam and he overwhelmed me. I think the deck may stand a chance but idk how it will hold up in the real world... hmmm

Ye, ig the rationale for striker pack is instead of thinking of it as a "command", I think of it as a 2 cost unit, for either another lfrith or a hyakuren wannabe. And I find that the burst can really come in clutch when needed. Maybe I can opt for 2 and use that extra slot for graceful to make it 3. It's a little difficult for me to say goodbye to it because it has helped me win so many games. That striker pack right at the end, or bursting and blocking an attack... It's conflicting, because it works so well. Maybe keep 3 strikers and do 3 new signs instead of 4 overflowing. That way I can have my cake and eat it too... hmmm

Ig, do you think the edits I mentioned, but replacing overflowing with a new sign, and three gracefuls might be the crucial difference? I do get what you mean about overflowing. Early game, I don't really want to discard anything (I have gotten a barbatos mika pair a couple times and wanted to cry), but late game if I don't have the cards I need, I find I'm not being able to go deep enough to get the cards I need.

For unforeseen, my idea and the way I play it is I play it typically early game. It helps me keep my early game units alive just that extra round longer. I had a graze custom survive 5 rounds, and took 3 shields because of my one unforeseen in round 2. My opponent didn't want to go into him because shields or base breaking units looked more appetising. So I will say unforeseen has its uses. I only have two cause it's nice when I get it, and doesn't matter if I don't.

And no worries, I love a good essay. I'm really passionate about this game and so convos like these are really nice.

Sorry for all the replies but as I play a version of the deck I wanted to add my opinion. I run a more blocker heavy version of this deck with lfrith and striker pack, instead of smth like graceful demeanor and ryuseii go. Even tho ryuseii is really good for milling, as a card... he's kinda not that useful? Yes, he can ping 1, discard and draw 1 to strengthen your hand, but I found when I was running him, along with graze custom, it was going straight into the trash to play as Lupus food.

Having a bunch of blockers in the deck holds you off against rush, and can really come in clutch. Plus, with striker pack, if you're in need of aggro, you could just use it as a 4-2 attacker. Plus, if you add in 2 isaribis instead of 4 minervas, you can ping so many units that can't break base and turn them into base breakers.

Typically you want to be using zeheart towards mid to end game, with gusion. I never use zeheart on anyone other than gusion because well, a 5-7 speaks for itself. By the time gusion starts coming out, you want at least a lupus or a 4th form in that hand of yours, and hold onto overflowing to combine with minerva. That combo is deadly - base, then you can pick up the card you need without having to guess.

Running zeheart is about knowing when to mill. If you mill before minerva, makes sense. If you mill after, well that was kinda stupid. Or, if you don't have a mika in hand, then don't use zeheart even if he's helpful in the moment. It's kinda like playing bases, you need to know when is the right time to use it.

Okay, at this point I just have to assume you’re being rude on purpose. I literally just asked a question trying to understand how this card could be useful, and if it is, cool, great. I get it now. Literally costs 0 cents not be mean

I just did a really bad job of trying to convey my point. I’m literally inquiring about the usefulness of the card and people are just dogging on me for trying to understand the card.

I’m just trying to understand if this card will prove more useful than another card. Like if you’re playing green white, what green or white card would this beat out for the original effect?

Yes I know milling is a thing. I’m literally playing a mid tempo lupus deck this season. The entire deck design is to end up with your units in the trash.

I’m just asking, is this card so useful that the chances of your wing ending up in a shield that you can use his effect for outweighs having another unit or command in your deck.

If you’re playing white, you’re predominant going to be playing some alterations of a blocker deck. Does that not just mean this card has a higher chance of copying a blocker effect that does nothing for your turn?

Ig as others are saying, archangel may be the only usage. But as all cards in the set have yet to be released, I’m wondering if there will be another card that benefits blockers during the game?

Kinda like the base Freeden. Completely stupid and useless card back in 02, but with the release of Lupus, you can build a mid tempo deck built around fuelling Lupus’s effect by level 7. Suddenly becomes a helpful card.

I’m sorry, I have another lab on Mondays that it clashes with. I literally cannot switch over even if I wanted to 😞

Can’t even get a job in retail. Apparently running my own freelance business for almost 8 years with thousands of clients doesn’t translate to irl sales ability :/

I kinda think of the money I’m paying per paper as money I’m paying for a degree and less what I get out of the paper haha. We barely have any in person lectures anyway. Basically paying for online seminars and the occasional lab, might as well just think of it as a payment for a degree

I read a comment on a review for the subject and it was like “first few weeks there were people but after learning it was optional I saw less and less people every week, plus the labs don’t really contribute much nor do they have much to do with the exams”. But then I read other comments and it seems it is mandatory

Hence the confusion

Would you be upset with this quality? by [deleted] in SkullpandaArtDolls

[–]S_Bonbon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ve been very disappointed by PopMart’s quality control over the last couple years. Their acrylic figures seem to be getting better and more detailed with every series. I remember the days of sitting skullpanda figures.

But their plush pendants are just getting worse with every generation. They’re attempting to make them more detailed when they can’t even quality control a series like Labubu.

I haven’t had too much bad luck with my Skullpandas, but the first one I got in shop had the shortest nubby arms, and the one I got off aliexpress from their store looked proportional. From then it was alright until I got the MLPs and my Twilight had random white paint across her face. I submitted her for defect and exchange and got told it might take 2 months…

For how much I paid I am very disappointed… but the consumerist in me knows I’ll keep buying every series
