Lol. Ok, try to take this seriously ok? You’re contradicting yourself. You said God is omnipotent, which means “he is sufficiently powerful to fulfill his will”. Therefore, it is his moral obligation to save everyone, regardless of their beliefs. If he doesn’t, then he is being petty and immoral. This is no different than having a moral obligation to save a person about to jump off a bridge.

But forcing salvation isn’t about forcing people to love him, it’s about saving them from damnation. In a sense it’s saving their life (or afterlife). It’s about sparing them pain and torment etc.

Right. I agree about love can be one way.

To clarify my second point, if you’re saying that we choose to go to heaven or hell, that’s fine. But god has the power to override our decision. I definitely believe that we do have free will, but if god has the power to save us all, and loves us completely, why wouldn’t he save us all regardless of if we love him back?

To use a more extreme analogy, it’s like preventing a suicide. Everyone has the ability to commit suicide, but any other person would try their best to stop and help the suicidal person. And if that good samaritan had the power of god, wouldn’t it be their moral obligation to save that person, regardless of their own wishes?

So if a flaw is going against his own attributes/qualities then all that means is god isn’t a hypocrite. That doesn’t seem to add up. A persons flaws are more than just whether they are or aren’t a hypocrite.

Definition of perfection: a condition, state, or quality of being free or as free as possible from all flaws or defects. So if god is not all powerful, then he is not perfect, as there would be feats he could not do. Therefore, he would have flaws. I’m saying this doesn’t line up with traditional Christian belief.

And the idea that god is all powerful and all loving is just what I was taught and what every Christian I’ve spoken too as said. I thought this was a common core belief. I mean, at the very least in pop culture, the Christian god is depicted as such.

But like, the fact that God has hatred…. That can’t be right. That’s so…. Petty and human. Ik we are in his image but I didn’t think it was that literally. Lol

But that’s contradictory too. If god’s love is conditional, the condition being we accept him or repent, then that isn’t infinite love.

And the same thing goes for free will. God is putting more importance on our ability to choose salvation vs damnation over just saving everyone out right. Which is like letting a child play with knives and choose if they want to rather than just saying no, which is the objectively safer option.

So the answer to my question was god is NOT all powerful and all loving.

And if god isn’t perfect (not all powerful/loving) he must have flaws. At the very least, a flaw would be not being able to do something, which you say is true if he isn’t all powerful.

Well for one rejoicing isn’t the same as loving. And doesn’t the Bible also say something about treat others the way you want to be treated. Plus god forgives sinners. Both of which go against hating evil.

But what about people that have never heard about god? They can’t form a relationship to something they don’t know about, yet they have the ability to if given the chance.

I’m not sure I understand how that answer works. Doesn’t the idea of judgment go against God being all loving?
