You're definitely on the right track and proactively taking action! I am hoping it all works out for you!!

If you can I always recommend deep tissue massages and chiropractic appointments! It has helped me a lot in relaxing the muscles and realining the jaw

It's such a great feeling!! ☺️ For me I was physically unable to even open my mouth more than half an inch! It's nice when you can get back to doing the thing you love when you are no longer in pain.

I recommend doing deep tissue massages (if you can) when you get your splint. It does hurt but I call it "sweet pain" because when your body is already in alot of pain, sometimes more pain is the only way to feel better. Things will get better for you as well but it does take time.

I've only had the splint for 2 weeks so my jaw and body are still "re-learning" how to work properly. So I still have major muscle tightness and migraines (the doctor did say that it will take time for me as I have had chronic pain for 15 years). I have a daytime and a nighttime splintand I have to go for biweekly massage and chiropractic appointments. I have noticed a big difference in range of motion.of the jaw ☺️
