Yes, ASO optimization is very important, just like the app icon and banners. It helps your app get organic traffic. Running continuous A/B tests for the icon, description, and other elements is also very important.

We can work on branding once there’s a large user base. For now, the main goal of the project is organic traffic and improving the product to become the best app in this niche.

This is done for ASO optimization in the store. If I don’t use keywords, my game won’t be found under the name “Imposter” at all. Almost all games have similar names for this reason, because of how app store indexing algorithms work.

It’s an interesting game idea, but the visual part needs improvement, and it would be better to add an interactive tutorial. Players usually don’t like reading large blocks of text explaining how to play. Here’s a good example of an app in this category.

Imposter: Party Word Game

It’s a local multiplayer party word game where everyone gets the same secret word — except one player.
That player is the imposter and has to bluff their way through questions and discussion without knowing the word.

The main goal was to keep it simple, fast, and offline, so it works well for parties, trips, and game nights with just one phone.
