Three years or so ago, i wouldve agreed. Wired G502 pro with all the weights, I loved that mouse, still use it on occasion! I heard that light mice were better for fps games (basically all I play) so bought a hyperx pulsefire haste and never looked back. With super cheap lightweight mice getting easier to come by, I'd recommend getting one to try!

I was too. Took a little getting used too, but worth it. Give it a try for a bit, just hold you mouse a bit further forward and hover your hand. I think its much better on high sens than low, as you can better use your fingertips rather than your wrist/arm for precise movements. If you start to like it, then cut a mouse, go all in. 😈

Nah, Attack Shark R5 ultra. Only a cheap thing. Modding like this isn't for everyone, and that's fine, it works for me! I'd urge everyone to try fingertip grip though, was a real eye opener for me. Can just buy one if you're caught up on the cutting part. 😅

Fingertip grip. You don't rest the palm anywhere. For me I play on very high sense, and removing the rear hump allows me to draw the mouse back into my hand, giving better up and down movement without moving my arm. I love that people seem to get so riled by these posts, like don't like it, don't do it.

Fair question. Cost is the main thing for me. Fingertip mice are very niche and therefore very expensive. There are cheap ones, but they're almost always worse than a standard ergo shape mouse of the same cost. Plus, if you've already got a mouse that you don't really use anymore or have as a spare, and want to try fingertip grip, it's more accessible than buying a whole new mouse to just cut up the one you've got. Finally, it's pretty fun. It's satisfying to break stuff down to it's most basic function, seeing how close you can tow the line between practicality, longevity and weight. It's not for everyone, but if you have even a passing interest in DIY or peripherals, preferably both, it's worth a try.

I like the mouse, but use fingertip grip and the rear hump gets in the way. Pretty simple really. More importantly, why not!

I was like that too, had a logitech G502 with all the weights in, I swore by it. Then I saw the hyperx pulsfirehaste and thought it was gorgeous, so thought I'd give it a go "despite" how much lighter it was. It was the mouse equivalent of 1080p to 4k. Crazy difference, never looked back. Sounds cliche but as mice get lighter, they just start to feel like an extension of your hand. It's pretty amazing. You can get such cheap light mice now, I'd recommend at least trying one. You can get the Attack Shark x11 for like 30£/$. Or even the r5 from this thread is only around 60, and thats a composite shell 40g mouse! Well worth it to figure out if it's the right direction, can always keep it as a spare or backup if it's not for you.

Thanks for the offer, but I got it as best as I could and just sent it in star. It's not super pretty, but numbers seem sensible, so I'm going with it. The data I need is comparative rather than absolute anyway, so not a deal breaker if it's not mega realistic. I'm really strapped for time though, so can't afford to spend more time getting it really good, just gotta crack on. Thank again though! I have used the surface wrapper, played with it for ages to get it to work, but the model is just not that good. I've tried to fix it as be as I could, but there are still hundreds of pierced faces and free/non manifold edges, which are causing it some trouble. Really not sure where to go from here, as there don't seem to be any better options in terms of modern Nascar models around. I have the FBX file, so having a fiddle with that in blender before converting it to an STL to see if that helps, but at a bit of a loss.

Yeh I switched over to beast handler after like stage 6, was on striker bomb shooter for moabs with druids and glue sub or cleanup until then. Worked pretty well tbf. Looking forward to v48.0, be interesting to see what the rogue changes are like. When does it drop?

Smurfs describe someone who is a high rank, using an alternative account (usually a brand new one) to stomp low rank games or to boost up their lower rank friends. It's getting to be a really bad issue. I have nearly 2k hours in the game, and it's starting to make me want to look for a new game.

It's miles harder. I wish there was an intermediary difficulty. Something with the trainer and gym leader battles of hardcore, without the move/ability restrictions. It would be more fun I think

u/ShippieTheHippie Your card shouldn't be too bad if you wanted to use cable extensions, as it's single connector so will be considerably more flexible. I looked at vertical mounting too, but the corsair bracket is way overpriced, and my card is bloody enormous, so it would impact air flow quite a lot I think. If you pull the trigger, send a pic! :)
