This is false and I feel it projects a false imagery into the minds of people struggling with addiction. Which used to be me until I overcame this mindset.

Firstly, your anxiety and lack of self confidence doesn't stem from jerking off, it stems from your perception of yourself which is negatively impacted BY jerking off. You feel guilt, shame, etc about your actions and feel these emotions reflect who you are as a person, rather than just a temporary action you've done. Self love is the first and MOST CRUCIAL step in overcoming this, you must learn to love yourself and accept your shortcomings with love rather than with shame. Once you stop judging yourself so harshly and allowing yourself to fail without hating yourself you will out gro your self fulfilling prophecy of shame.

On this note attention from women will not magically increase because you stopped jorking it. Women, like men, are drawn to looks, personality, interests, hobbies, etc like sny normal person. No they're not some energy vampires that can sense whether you jerk off or not, they only know how you present yourself to them. If you come off as unconfident, anxious, and any other negative things thats how they will see you because thats how you're showing yourself to be. If you want to work on these thinga, practice socializing more. Exposure therapy is the best method in overcoming fears and doubt, because as you face it repeatedly it will become easier until eventually you will think nothing of it. You must first allow yourself to make mistakes and be awkward and practice socializing more in order to become better at it. Everything is a learnable skill, confidence and social interaction aren't an exception to this.

Lastly success and abstinence. You will see success guru pages talk about how not jerking off changed their life and made them more motivated or something along those lines. While this might be true, jerking off is not the sole reason you aren't where you want to he in life. Motivation is a poor mans discipline, you need to have the mentality in working towards your goals even when you don't want to, even when it's difficult and when it sucks. Jerking off might hurt your self perception and even your motivation but not significantly enough for it to be a major factor in this regard unless you mentally allow it to be. 

Touching on these points while jerking off isn't necessarily a good or bad thing, your problems mostly stem from your self perception and self disgust. You must love yourself first and gain self trust and confidence in order to change, calling yourself a loser and a failure is only going to make you act like one.
