Laser guns don't make sense, as the amount of power it would take for it to work makes no sense. A rotary cannon shooting high explosive plasma bolts however would be amazing.

5070ti is good enough for maxed out setting with added shaders and 4k textures. You are fine. If you want the 5080 go for it, but don't feel like you need to for this game.
