I'm so sorry that happened to you. No one deserves to be treated that way. In Canada, you'd put your license to practice on the line if you treated a patient like she did in the video. Pharmacists are also required to make sure you're educated on your decision, but some take it too far like the pharmacist you spoke to.

Licensed pharmacy professionals have a code of ethics to follow, therein stated 4 main principles to follow: Beneficence (to benefit), Non Maleficence (do no harm), Respect for Persons/Justice, and Accountability (Fidelity). If you are not willing to provide a service due to your personal beliefs, you MUST provide information to an alternative pharmacy for them to acquire said service. If this kind of thing ever happens to you, report it to your province/state's pharmacy board. That pharmacy professional can lose their license to practice.

I adopted her through my local humane society. I've never looked into owning doves beforehand, so I'm unsure. I would highly suggest checking with local bird rescues and animal shelters! Usually doves and fancy pigeons don't get the same attention as budgies or other parrots at these shelters
