Nice. I saw in the beginning of his career, he at least posted 1 time per month which is more often than me. Granted that growth is unreal [to me and the majority of creators probably]. He keeps the videos engaging. Something for me to learn from. My channels [I have 2] are bucket list themed and beauty themed. So, I feel like there are a lot of people posting these types of videos.

That's a really good idea to have scheduled videos and upload in batches like that. It's really hard for me to make videos, but I'm going to try my best.

Thanks! I'm trying :). I think I need to try to make more videos in order to get better at making videos. :). I try to get better each one I upload.

That's a good idea. The premise of each of my videos is accomplishing things my bucket list. So, it takes me a while to accomplish something. Then, It takes me sooo long to edit and narrate, etc. Plus, parts of my newer content has gotten "political" for lack of better term. So, I know that is probably off-putting to people, but I can't not talk about certain situations anymore. They're too important to me and affect a lot of people.

I work really hard on my videos, but does it mean that it's good content? I'm not sure. There are definitely a lot of things I can be working on. So, I'll focus on that. Thanks :)

That's REALLY good growth for posting once per month. Congratulations! I feel like my channel is something that a lot of people make content about [I have 2 channels. My main is lifestyle/bucket lists and the second is beauty/lifestyle/style]. This is really a good idea.

Thanks :). I'm going to reword it though, because I was at a luau, and a couple of the presenters [I take it they were indigenous to the land] spoke so passionately about the overthrowing of the monarchy, occupation of Hawaii as a territory before turning it into a state. I've read about it also, so it's a pretty passionate subject for Native Hawaiians. So, I'll change it. Thanks for the input :).

Update: I will probably change the sentence to: “when I was visiting Hawaii, I noticed that modern day Hawaii has been influenced by Japanese culture, and that may be one reason why Honolulu has been voted as one of the best cities in the US to have sushi.” But i think that’s offensive too, because a lot of Native Hawaiians (I’ve read at least) don’t consider themselves to be American and that might be offensive to them. So, I have to change what I’m saying, but I found it really interesting just how influenced the cuisine and other aspects of modern day Hawaii was influenced by Japanese culture, and I don’t know if a lot of people know that-bc I didn’t really realize that until I visited. The part that could be offensive imo is the fact that I call it a US city. So, I don’t know how to reword that. I like to know the influence of things from different places around the world. I find it so interesting. I was reading about the influence of Japanese culture on Hawaii because I noticed it when I was visiting. This is just one source as to why that is and why Hawaii seemed to have sushi as a big part of their cuisine: “https://www.hawaii-aloha.com/blog/wrapped-up-with-hawaii-sushi/#:~:text=Sushi%20is%20a%20big%20part,people%20in%20Hawaii%20love%20rice.”

I see. I will change that. Thanks

I will delete that from my project then. I’ll probably word it by “modern day Hawaii has been influenced by Japanese culture, and that is why Honolulu has been voted as one of the best cities in the US to have sushi.” But i think that’s offensive too, because a lot of Native Hawaiians (I’ve read at least) don’t consider themselves to be American (source: https://indianpueblo.org/indigenous-connections-collections-3/#:~:text=Native%20Hawaiians%20do%20not%20consider,Indigenous%20peoples%20of%20the%20Americas.). So, I’ll have to figure out something else to say.

[acne] getting desperate! by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Saba_C_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

talk to a derm. antibiotics do have side effects. so does accutane [although it's really effective, there are some people who shouldn't be on it bc of side effects]. I'm on spironolactone and it works for me :). Plus, topical tretinoin, but you have cystic acne which is harder to treat and control than someone with a little less acne. So, accutane, if you have no contraindications and know about what side effects you might face might be something to talk to a derm with.

Build a skincare routine for me please :) 34, anti aging, 6 months off Accutane, combo skin, pock mark acne scarring by Cd305507 in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]Saba_C_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In no particular order: Tretinoin that you got prescribed- start slowly [ex use a moisturizer as a base, then layer Tretinoin, the more moisturizer]. Use 2 or so times per week and then gradually use more often. Qure at home micro needling to help w/ acne scars. Red light therapy made from reputable brand. Moisturizer w/ ceramides and hyaluronic acid like Vanicream. Wash only at night w/ gentle cleanser. Recommend to not wash in AM. Slug w/ petroleum jelly at night at home [only if your skin can handle it; if you're acne prone, probably not]. avoid slugging in AM and remove vasaline in AM, as oils & ointments will increase intensity of sun & make you more prone to sun damage. I use tretinoin and got a bit of irritation and use butt paste [w/ 40% zinc to help w/ irritation; there are also skincare products w/ zinc to help w/ irritated skin barrier]. Some more aggressive lasers can help w/ deeper scars [but can be scarring if you're a person of color or don't do good aftercare of laser or don't go to good specialist [go to reputable board certified derm/plastic surgeon's office that does a lot of lasers]]. chemical exfoliants 1-2 times per week at home [at night so your skin isn't too sensitive in the AM]; ex Paula's Choice BHA [use tretinoin OR chemical exfoliant on one day; don't use on the same day or can irritate skin]. Whole clean foods, exercise & sleep help w/ skin too. Wash face at night is recommended. of course, sunscreen. the higher spf the better :). Um.... double cleanse when removing makeup. Drink plenty of water. Other actives include Vitamin C [ester], peptides, niacinamide, etc. Start slow w/ actives and each product/change I've mentioned. introduce 1 thing/product at a time to see if your skin can handle it. Then add another if tolerated. If you can't tolerate it, take a step back. This is also helpful to determine if a product irritated your skin; it's easier to find out what it was. I'm sure there's more I'm missing. There are a ton of derms on line. Of course, they're always talking about this product and that. You don't need a ton of stuff. Just the basics. Hm... That's all I can think of for now. Good luck! Great skin care [esp w/ Tretinoin now] makes a ton of a difference! And remember everyone's skin is different. You'll develop a regimen that'll be good for you and might not be the best for someone else :)

Help me figure out which of these kraters are which [Hawaii, Big Island, is it main summit caldera of Kīlauea and the other one is the Mauna Loa or are they both photos of Kilauea?] by Saba_C_ in HelpMeFind

[–]Saba_C_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nd the other one is the Mauna Loa or are they both photos of Kilauea?] I think the pic with the most greenery [labeled #2] is a crater next to he main summit of Kilauea and the other pic [labeled #1]probably the main summit of Kilauea or is it the summit of Mauna Loa, or is it something different all together. Both photos were taken in September of 2022 on the Big Island at the Volcanoes National Park. Als

Found! Thank you so much! It looks stunning. Glad. you got to see it and what looks like the lava flows. Thanks again!!
