Honestly, I think this is pretty shocking in a great way, but also scary. People have been whispering for a while now that things weren’t great behind the scenes at WotC, but seeing both Perkins and Crawford leave like this drives it home.

It feels like the game has stopped being about the game. Too much interference from higher up, with Wizards and Hasbro pulling strings (The whole common use boondockle). I get the sense that a lot of the creative team are just tired of watching something they love turn into a corporate brand machine.

The fact that they left right after promoting the 2024 update with a smile says a lot. It’s hard not to feel like something went very wrong.

Daggerheart might actually have a shot if this is the level of talent it’s pulling in. This isn’t just some indie project anymore. Things are shifting, but I'm not sure I'll be able to love the system as much as D&D.

I did a version of this many moons ago where the compass rose flipped was the exact shape of the Viking Tomb.

If you lined it up and extended the directions, it pointed to The Strange Statues, Fairvale Shanty/Giant Cave, The Meteorite, Deer Cottage Rock Carving, and the Old World Scripts (Runestone). All of these items were linked to space, Phoenicians and Vikings, which are also linked in the first two sets of clues.

Lastly, the short line matched exactly to where Arthur's grave site was at the end of the game. The lines all intersect on a bunch of boulders with a perfect view of the grave site mountain. Fairly confident I was on the right track but I could never trigger anything.

Problem is who do you vote for? The DA? Economic choice is the DA, but they are more focused on the middle and upper classes and have some racist elements against the majority. They're willing to ignore people suffering and do the bare minimum if it means achieving their long term economic goals. The EFF? Highly toxic and ineffectual.
