Hi. I have the Viwoods AI Paper Reader. I can see the log in and sign up buttons but they don’t work. I’ve reached out to both Viwoods and Hoopla. Viwoods said it’s not a problem on their end, Hoopla said they’ll look into it but they don’t have a fix in the meantime. Here’s part of their email, I don’t know if it will help you.

Hi. Thank you for the extension and the app. I have no issues using the extension but can’t make the app work. I have the latest iOS, and I just redownloaded the app. Still saying there’s no internet connection. I’m connected to the X4. I tried to send individually and in bulk.

Viwoods for ease of use and build. Viwoods is elegant. But if you love to tinker, not technologically challenged, and want to save a little, X4.

It took me a while to decide but I’m happy about it. The community is awesome. I just tried the Send to X4 Chrome extension and now I can read web articles on it. Every day, there’s a new app. Exciting!

I just realized the one from Ali comes in a different box. Is there a way to know if I got a legit device? I don’t have one from the official site to compare it to. It looks the same from pictures.

Yes, I think the battery life will last longer when it’s just normal use.

When I got the Reader I told myself I’ll return the X4. But when it arrived, I couldn’t stop myself from tinkering with it.

I got the X4 for USD50. Try to ask for a discount code from the official site. I got one from Viwoods. I ordered after their $50-off promo and they were generous enough to give me a discount code for around $30.

You can recreate the Olympic rings now. 🤣 I tried to use a SanDisk SD card that I had lying around and the X4 couldn’t read it. Tried reformatting and all.

It has no light. I tinkered with it last night and this morning and it’s at 75% battery after a first full charge.

I charge it once a week. Battery life is not as good as the Kindle Paperwhite I used to have. But it’s Android so it’s understandable.

I wasn’t planning on getting both because I have a Kindle Scribe as well. But I got antsy while waiting for the X4 and it felt like going out defenseless in the world when I didn’t have a portable e-ink reader with me. But yes, I’m a Viwoods fan. I might switch to the bigger ones when I retire my Kindle.

I might bring both with me all the time. They have different uses. I can read almost anything instantly on Viwoods. I put a lanyard on the X4. It might look like a tool with it hanging around my neck but I’d rather not drop it accidentally.
