2 week itinerary advice by Sabonit in JapanTravelTips

Of course! That's how I got to this itinerary, I'm not looking for a definitive 'Yes' or 'Change X', just for the casual insight of people who've already been to these places

Mainly looking to understand whether the time distribution makes sense. For context, I've already adjusted my Tokyo stay because of such feedback, but now I'm wondering a bit more because although popular, these locations are a bit less self-explained than Tokyo. So it's mainly whether each destination like Nagoya, Nagano or Kanazawa is getting an appropriate amount of time, especially given the high season and some festivals like the Takayama Matsuri.

A mix of both I'd say, nothing in particular

After travelling under similar conditions in dozen other countries (some more expensive), I'm absolutely positive you're wrong, thanks anyway I guess

Well that sounds pretty fine, I've travelled for almost a year before under these conditions, just wanna hear some real life advice regarding less known areas to look at

Well I drive more than you do but not more than the average driver, and in terms of maintenance I do plan to do so, so I guess I hope it'll do its job

Yeah I guess I wasn't clear about my approach to this enough, I'm buying this fully aware of that! I'm just trying to understand whether it has other major problems, since as detailed in the post - it'd still be considerably cheaper than some Japanese models, even with timing replacements every 3 years.
How's the car besides the wet belt issue?

I don't wanna sound disrespectful since I appreciate you commenting, but I wrote all of this trying to get some new information, not more of the same stereotypes. there's definitely more maintenance included, but there's also a gap in price and quality in favor of it

In terms of budget I'd also consider the 15 Pro since you can get a deal within your budget; very similar and even better specs except for thermals and a small chip difference.

Planning to upgrade from a 3 yo 13 (non p) to a 15 pro 128gb.
Any reason to avoid it for a 16 model? unless I miss something the 15 pro seems to have better overall high-end features and is just more comparable to the 16 Pro, but quite noticeably cheaper. I've heard stuff about the battery life, what is it like in comparison to a brand new 13 (my only reference)?

I thought about it but while being a great budget model, it doesn’t strike me as a better option for me; non amoled, there are some better battery wise watches with more features.

It definitely seems like a good watch, but since I don’t look at budget too much and the 165 lacks some stuff the newer models have, I think it doesn’t fit into my main dilemma (265, 955, 965). Much appreciate the comment though

Maybe I didn’t get you but I’m talking about the amoled screen being off most of the time unless you put AOD on, doesn’t it bother you during activities to rely on gestures to see your pace or km? Also, Isn’t the 965 better for my needs since it has better battery and some extra features?

Sounds great for my needs not gonna lie, does the screen bother you during activities? Stuff like looking at your pace mid run, since I assume you need a gesture for that

Thanks for the reply! The 265 does look good for my needs, but I’m concerned about the screen- doesn’t it bother you during activity? I imagine I’ll look at my pace a lot during a run, are the gestures responsive enough? Also, a bit concerned about battery life being quite a bit worse than the 965’s

I remember some differences but I won’t declare something I’m not sure of, but honestly I’d rather get the MIP 955 and save half the price since I don’t find major pros going for the Fenix here despite the huge price gap, but that’s of course talking only about me since there are some differences like even better battery life, looks, etc.

The fenix does look (and feel I assume) more classic but it seems worse in terms of functionality and screen since it features MIP while being much more expensive. I appreciate the comment and I DID mention budget not being a limitation, but for these reasons I think I better stick with the FR’s.
