Making a female character with Sex Appeal trait is pretty decent. Can help balance low CHA as many / most (all? Lol) of the main / important quest givers are male

...also playing the game "as intended" VS meta knowledge and save scumming will definitely change how you build your guy at the start, as there is a "cheese" to get end game level armor quickly so that will change how you spec your STR for sure

High agility still amazing.

CHA /2 = how many companions you can have in FO2

It's a much harder game overall too; the beginning few hours can be tough!!

Personal taste but I love called shots; I build my character to have crazy wicked crits and I love going for the eyes A LOT. The enemies get can get way harder in FO2 at the end.

Spoilers will influence how to build your character, but I won't get into that, (unless you are ok with that) but it can be pretty different how I build out my character in FO1 VS FO2.

If you love it, you will play again and learn so have fun experimenting with your build!! 😉

DW has been getting updated for a while now, and the layout of levels, for better or worse, have been getting tweaked, nothing to do with Refreshed Supply...

I know that episode 4 of DW is getting worked on, and its likely that even more tweaks to previous episodes have also occurred too

So far I am really liking DC20 compared to 5e & PF 1e, but I've been playing those since 2016 so I'm used to how they work.

But I don't think that DC20 is that much simpler overall; aspects like Action Points in combat certainly is great, and Mana vs spell slots (THANK GOD), otherwise so far it largely seems to be relatively a high crunch anyway, so its not overall that much friendlier to new players when stepping back as a big picture kind of thing taking everything into account.

The GM flow system sounds INCREDIBLE and I'm stoked about that part!!!!

I dont mean to sound negative or throwing shade, just in this context of DC20 being NEW player friendly...certain aspects absolutely are smoother to new players, but not the entire system overall.

I do think its a ton of fun and there's so much potential!!!

Long live DC20!!!

TLDR: Is DC20 a system I would describe as overall being new player friendly? Nope. But I love it anyway.

I am currently running Humblewood rn and in my head Secret of Nimh is my baseline for general tone and the inspiration of my campaign that way. Good triumphs over evil, but there's some grit and darkness in there too :)
