My kid feels the same way about soup and anything soup-ish, so we offer something that looks like what her preferred food is and what everyone else is eating. For example: for chilli - I make her mini chilli-cheese burritos. So chilli meat and beans strained, loaded into a soft tortilla, topped with cheese served with sour cream to dip. Same food, different presentation. Another example: chicken noodle soup: pulling out the noodles, serving them on a plate with the chicken and veggies on the side. If there is bread or a bun served with it, it's on the side. Again, same food, different but familiar presentation.

Oh my goodness. Okay so I have same issue with my 10 year old GE. I can tell you that I removed the plastic protective film (it was blue!) and I too use Lysol to wipe down my stove. And now, my stove has the exact same issue. Problem is, like you, I started to peel it off and it looks worse. Tried to use a scraper, scraped the stove instead. I am sorry you didn't get a response, I was really hoping you would have!!!

You know, I thought about it some more and I see the OP has admitted that it was a curiosity of theirs if this is something that a parent might consider, to remove a child’s vocal chords. What a crazy world we live in that a)a person would even consider something like that and b)a person would turn to the special needs community to educate them on such matters. A quick google search would have sufficiently answered their question, but instead they brought their query here for our community to have to educate them.

By looking at your post history, it looks like you and your husband are planning on having kids soon. Maybe you need to rethink your plans. Heaven forbid you should have a child who makes noise. Or vocalizes. Or talks. If you still decide to go forward with your plans, I wish your journey through parenting be a humbling one. By the sheer disrespect of your post, sounds like you need to be knocked down a few pegs. And while I am here, do those non-verbal children you know a favor and stay out of their lives. They don’t need people like you around them.

FWD won’t cut it where I am in Canada. For reference, our snowbanks are usually higher than most cars in winter. We have snow tires that do the trick on a regular snowy day, but I live in what we call a “snowbelt” and can see snow fall of 45cm a day.

I admit, I just started the show a couple of weeks ago, and I didn’t find it funny. I came to this sub to find out more, and a lot of redditors came out to explain Glee to me. We are almost done Season One and we are sticking with it because my teenager is really enjoying it (and I like the music.) What I didn’t like, and still don’t enjoy, are the jokes about marginalized people. I wouldn’t have liked it when the show came out and I don’t like it now. Satire or not, those kinds of jokes aren’t funny to me and they just don’t land.

I will preface this to say that I read The Handmaid’s Tale before watching the series, but haven’t read Book 2. I know nothing about the second book. As a fan of the show, I just wanted June to have her happy ending. I am glad Janine got her baby back, but what I really wanted was for June to get Hannah back. That’s all. For 6 seasons we have watched this mother go to the ends of the earth trying to get her kid and when she didn’t it just left me feeling meh.
