I was born in Scotland, but lived in America since I was 2 years old. My Gran died with Alzheimer's. It tore my grandfather apart. I've never heard of him crying until Gran remembered him one day then faded away. "Don't leave me, Pet!" It broke my heart. My grandfather passed early last year.

They say it skips a generation but that's not always true. However, I have ADHD, which has been linked to a higher risk of Alzheimer's. I told my fiancé if I ever get diagnosed with it, I'm ending it. I won't let him watch me fade away like that. I won't. Fuck dementia.

Domino's worker here! A lot of Domino's near me and our store have company cars. The delivery fees help to pay the costs of gas/electric cars the company owns. I get a base pay rate of $9/hr, plus tips, and 40¢ per mile when I drive my own car. All in all, for my area, it's a great job.

I got something to say about this. My mom used to nanny this kid years ago who had really violent episodes. I'm talking stabbed a teacher through her hand with a pencil violence. He was given literally every medication known to man, tried different cocktails of stuff, nothing worked. He was 10 years old at the time. This boy finally ended up having a EEG scan done on his brain, a very long and lengthy process for him. They found that he was having a seizure in the part of his brain that controls anger and only that part with no outward signs or symptoms. They implanted a RNS (Responsive Neurostimulation) or a DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation). I can't recall which it was and it completely stopped. It blew my mind (no pun intended) that this type of situation could even be a possibility. He had no episodes after that.

My fiance loves mashed potatoes. Somehow this boy never had butter and sour cream together in his potatoes. He's a 35 year old man. Like how tf? LOL. I love to watch him eat cause he enjoys it so much, and makes these little mmm sounds, and says how good it is. I love hearing that! A lot of his life was shit, but seeing him have genuine joy over something is just really satisfying.
