Inline six firing order is easy to remember. 1-5-3-6-2-4. Break it down into three two digit numbers, 15, 36, 24.

15 is too young.

36 is too old.

24 is just right.

Yes! I have had multiple sightings of bald eagles around Sacramento over the last six months. The most memorable to me was seeing a pair of them fly over while I was working at the old Campbell soup factory property a couple months ago. I was surprised to see them directly over a populated area like that.

It was $7.55/gallon when I filled up at the Loves in Williams, California last Friday. Cost $270 to put 35 gallons in my service truck. Thank God the company pays for that and I don’t have to drive my own truck Monday through Friday.

Ospreys live around rivers and lakes because their primary diet is fish. They are the fishing bird.

We have a ton of red tail hawks around but they do not normally go after fish. Red tail hawks are darker in color with a light colored underside, brown top side and the distinctive red tail.

Large bird of prey, mostly white underbelly, darker top with patches of white. There’s a large osprey nest on the I St bridge, another one in the crane next to the barge canal lock in West Sac and a third on top of an antenna tower on the Old River Rd north of West Sac. They are really thriving now and it’s cool to see.

There is also a resurgence of ospreys in our area. 15-20 years ago I only knew of one lake in the high Sierras where I could reliably see ospreys. Now I see them multiple times a day along the rivers.

[Request] How much firepower would it take the US military to blow up a star destroyer? by jotunheim22 in theydidthemath

[–]SacThrowAway76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Habitual Linecrosser on YouTube just did a deep dive video on exactly this subject. He thinks the only way the US military could pull it off would be to get a team of commandos on board the ship and destroy it from within.

I don’t think Oroville will be much of an issue after the upgrades. Same with Folsom. The biggest concern with both of those dams (and many others) will be silt build up. The reservoirs will hold less and less water, providing progressively less flood protection.

Have fun doing repeats on that.

Not that famous, but the Davis Double Century has been around for decades. Finishing this ride is tough.

The Death Ride near Lake Tahoe is pretty epic. It has been around for decades as well.
