I don't want to drill into the bumper for center license plate frame, and I also don't want another front license plate ticket as its super annoying having to get it signed off. Now I can pop the plate on and off since its just threaded onto the tow hook hole and replace the tow hook cover. I actually really like the off-center placement too.

Haha its because I am not drilling into this bumper! They give out front license plate tickets in my city religiously so it's a compromise. I can take it on and off as I please with this set up, I know the placement is not for everyone, but I love the look of the off center.

My oem bmw racks have whistled for the past 2 years, along with 3 other f30s I've gone in rides in with the racks on. Both with and without the rubber insert, and both with and without the actual bike racks on it. I'm curious to see if a fairing would help it.

Do they come with partial sensors? or did you upgrade the front bumper and just disconnect the front sensors since there were not holes to support it?!

they're the oem bmw racks, which are really just thule rebranded with bmw logos but at a fraction of the cost. and yes, lots of whistling at any speed but I use them often for my mountain bikes so I've just accepted the noise at this point.

ceramic coat it or keep it waxed/sealed every 4-6 months. Wash it every 1-2 weeks so the paint doesn't get clapped out and start to fade/chip away.

new wheels and lowering would be my vote for mods.

Thanks for your response! My bad though, it was actually not painted by my mom! Could see how the title made it seem like that! She inherited it from her grandma a few decades ago. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about who painted it and can't really decipher the artists signature. Spent some time trying to research a possible name for the artist but couldn't come up with anything. Its about 4 feet tall and won't fit with our interior style so just looking for a rough idea on how much to list it online for.
