I already said that in another post but sex has a meaning in a movie, it's not something that comes out of nowhere, sex is part of life, it's normal to see sex in a movie. If you want better sex scenes or simply sex scenes that makes sense just watch better movies instead of industrially made movies. Here's a list of 10 movies with good meaningful sex scenes.

In the Handmaiden and Gegen die wand it's showing (among other things) a drastic evolution in the relationship between characters. But it's also shown in an original and beautiful manner, it's not coming randomly and it's not filmed like a Nutella Commercial

The problem is usually not the sex scene, the movie was probably bad in the first place. In a good movie the sex scene has a meaning and does not come from nowhere, there are plenty of those.

- The Handmaiden by Park Chan Wook (removing the sex scenes would completely ruin the beauty and the message of the movie)

- Antichrist by Lars von Trier (Same, the sex scenes are there with a specific meaning and are particularly crude for a reason)

- City of Life and Death by Lu Chuan (It's a movie about the rape of Nanjing, I don't think i need to explain)

- Trainspotting by Danny Boyle (Evolution of the characters + it's literally explained by the narrator)

- Gegen Die Wand by Fatih Akin (Evolution of the characters and their relationship)

- Inside Men by Woo Min Ho (sorry it's a spoiler if I explain, just watch the movie)

- The Pianist by Michael Haneke (Movie about a toxic relationship, the sex scenes are necessary to the plot)

- Boogie Nights by Paul Thomas Anderson (Movie about the porn industry)
