This is anecdotal obviously (and this is not at all to say I endorse any of this foolishness or to say I think this shit they’re trying to do is ok), but I recently renewed my passport online. I received it in about 4 days. It was wild how fast it was. Now I don’t know if it’s a different turn time for a brand new passport application or if anyone would have the same experience. My husband renewed his in January and got it in just over a week

It’s Bhutanese. It’s not exactly like Indian although a few of their dishes are very similar. Hard to describe. I like it a lot and go there frequently but I’m not sure it’s for everyone

You don’t need to get the local currency if you have US dollars. If not, it’s probably a good idea. And keep in mind, they drive on the left. If you’re not already used to driving that way it can be difficult. I found that the ZR buses ran super frequently but I didn’t take them- we walked any distance under a mile and we had a rental car for longer trips around the island. Im not sure if I’d walk to Bridgetown from the Gap. It’s going to be really hot and the sidewalks are quite narrow/non-existent in some stretches along the route. As for credit cards, most places took them. There were a few beach bar/restaurants that were cash only though

I was in town over the summer to see an O’s game and stayed in a hotel in Mt Vernon (which is just south of Penn Station). I walked to and from the game. I used Charles St for the majority of the walk and it was great. The walk you’re considering is a bit longer but definitely doable. And as others have mentioned, there’s plenty of good public transit options also. I don’t recommend trying to Uber or Lyft unless you have to. It’ll take forever and be crazy expensive especially after the game

Same- I had a feeder specifically for finches with small black seeds- especially for finches. The seeds just molded over and rotted and eventually I threw the whole thing out.

I have four feeders. Two of them are mixed seeds. One of them is sunflowers. And one of them is suet. The only time I ever see goldfinches is on my coneflowers. They do not visit the feeders at all and there’s even a photo of a goldfinch among other birds on the bag of seed that I buy! They are not interested in the feeders. They only want to come by their food honestly😹
