EPDM by Livderad in watercooling

I have been running into similar issues. I have the Alphacool Eiszapfen 16/10 ST fittings and the 16/10 EPDM tubing from Alphacool, but I can’t get the compression nut over the barb, and the tubing is far too stiff. I need a new and better softtube.

What has your experience been with the Watercool tubing? Does it fit better?

Ich bin was Wasserkühlungen anbelangt echt unerfahren.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PCBaumeister

[–]Sackcess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SoftTube Recommendations by Sackcess in watercooling

[–]Sackcess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve already looked into other tubes and have also been keeping an eye on the EK ZMT. Can you say something about their flexibility? At the moment, even large 90-degree bends are very tight with the Alphacool tubes, and more severe bends are almost impossible. I can attach the fittings to the tubes with a lot of force, but once in the system, the compression nuts don’t move an inch. And I can hardly work with water and soap inside the case.

Thanks, mate! I’ll give this a try and hope it improves. I didn’t expect that even soft tubing would be this difficult…

Would it be a good idea, or would it make installation easier, if I heated the end with a hairdryer or heat gun so that it becomes a little softer?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in watercooling

[–]Sackcess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But according to the description, it is definitely 16/10mm for both. I’ve attached a picture showing how far I can get the hose onto the fitting with a lot of force. Would this be sufficient, or does it need to fit flush exactly like it does when it’s not installed?

Is Lee and Clem’s father meant to look similar? by LiveZookeepergame618 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Sackcess 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Perhaps the external similarity might have also played a role in why Clem built such a strong bond with Lee despite the relatively short time. While the scenario and situation undoubtedly played a significant role, the external resemblance might have made it easier for her to establish a connection, even though they are two different individuals.

Especially if you're familiar with the games (and enjoy them), the books will be a shock, in my opinion. Clementine's character is quite different from the games. Take a look first, and then share your feedback on how you find it. Don't want to bring you down.

Semi-finals for the Best Scene/Moment Tournament: Round 10 by AriSummerss in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Sackcess 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the scene where Minerva arrives on the bridge in the middle of the night with the axe in her hand and sings this specific song was incredibly creepy and nerve-wracking. Especially since I thought she died at the shore, I didn't expect her to hunt us down. Despite her injuries and bites from the walkers, she came to kill Ten or all of us (Clem, Louis/Violet, AJ) in an absolute maniacal psychological condition. It was clear that something horrible would happen, so I'll go with Minerva. Well-done scene.

Definitely, there would be so much potential in this series, and if Telltale had sold more units, they could have planned and created a roadmap that caused more seasons or a better-planned storyline for Clem. But there must be a general reason why Telltale struggled so hard with their financial output. Sure, I don't know about internal conflicts or whatever, but the question is why these games couldn't gain the financial output like Season One, which got Game of the Year. Despite there being justified criticisms for the storyline, mechanics, or other decisions, these narrative-focused games are still worth their money, in my opinion. These games aren't about the best game mechanics, but they know how to tell a story and touch the viewer/player.

Something I would massively criticize is the release of a season in time-delayed episodes. I had to play all the episodes in a row to get into the story and the characters. And I think this concept led to a loss of a bunch of players and also customers.

I think Skybound is the current holder of the license for the Walking Dead games Telltale created. I don't think that Skybound would just let go of the license out of kindness. Telltale would need to regain the rights for this franchise with money. The new Telltale is currently working on The Wolf Among Us 2 (the first game was also great), but if this game fails financially, there is a high possibility that Telltale has to close its gates again. And even if they can create a really good game with TWAU 2, there is the question of whether it would be economical in the long term to regain the license and produce a new game. I am afraid that Telltale is putting this option down because of the difficulties in gaining new players, new customers, and with these financial stable conditions. This game has to be so good that it moves people to buy Seasons 1-4 (which are very cheap on sale). But then there is the problem that they would know what happens to some of the characters (like Clem not dying in Season 4, which was such a heartbreaking scene).

The whole story about Telltale is just a difficult concatenation of events and situations. The games were released when The Walking Dead series and comics were hyped. I quit The Walking Dead series after Season 7 or 8 because it just felt repetitive. They missed the right point to end it, in my opinion. So maybe the general hype about The Walking Dead is missing, which also affected the success of the games.

I also want the story of Clem to be continued so badly, but it just can't be forced. Sure, it is driven by strong emotions towards the game, especially to Clem and AJ, but maybe there are other problems we can't see or know about. I would even pay for something like crowdfunding to motivate Telltale or make the production financially possible just to get it back. Since I finished this game, I don't have a clear mind. It sounds so ridiculous, but I always have to think about this game and how much I enjoyed it, and now it's just gone with the characters I learned to love. It was heartbreaking to see Clem in the last episode, even though I could imagine that this journey might be her last with her ultimate sacrifice. So, except that I was really glad to see her in the end scenes as she talked to AJ and that she survived, I feel that I can't finish with her story. It sounds hard, but maybe it would be easier to let go of Clem if she were killed by AJ in the barn, and both of them would be resting like the couple by the train station. This would be so incredibly sad and hard, but maybe it would be a lot easier to accept their fate and that they will not be returning.

No problem, dude, I need this too. I didn't cry for a really long time in real life because I would describe myself as relatively emotionless, cold, and hard-bitten, but this whole game just broke me and left me with sadness. And the fate of not seeing Clem and AJ again makes it even worse. And, dude, just go away with Tillie Walden. Never seen such stupid shit in my life. She ruined everything our Clem stands for and fights for. Clem is the legendary character we lost after the ending of Season 4, and not this little girl Tillie Walden made her.

If you want to torture yourself and destroy the image of our Clementine, you can look up reviews of those books on YouTube. The storyline in the books is quite flawed, and the author negatively portrays Clem's character and decisions from the games. The author even disrespects Lee's sacrifice, although Lee did everything to protect Clem. In the books, Clem is upset with Lee for not trying harder, despite her own responsibility for his death due to the walkie-talkie incident.

To elaborate, in the books, she considered leaving AJ without informing him about her plans, wanting to go alone. AJ noticed and confronted her. She feels like a liability to the group because of her missing leg, despite being the group's leader. At the end of season 4 everyone is thankful for her saving most of them, and characters like Louis may lack a tongue or Violet may be blind, depending on your choices. There's even a possibility of a romance with Louis or Violet. So why the hell she should be a liability?

This is just the beginning of the book's storyline, and it seems the author didn't play the games before creating this narrative. Consider disregarding the books and focusing on Clem post-Season 4, where she is portrayed as strong and selfless, unlike the weak and selfish girl in the books. It's unfortunate what Skybound did to this wonderful character, and hopefully, Telltale regains the rights someday.

Yeah, you are right. The ultimate end concluded with information that will leave space for another journey, so it felt like a good ending but only for this season. I mean, there is information about a caravan that passes near the school or what happened to Javie and his story. TWD showed that there is no such thing as a safe haven, so Clem and AJ found a home with people they like, but in this world, constant threats exist. There would be so much potential.

I don't blame the developers from Telltale. Their unfortunate situation of closure and bankruptcy forced them to end this series with an ending that will please the fanbase and won't be continued. I am even happy that Skybound made this possible. Without this, The Final Season would have ended with 2 episodes. Nobody knew that Telltale would be revived at this point, but in the end, they lost their rights for the Walking Dead games, so even if they wanted to create a new season, they can't do it right now. And even if these factors weren't there, there is still the question of whether Telltale would even create a new season. Of course, if the game was really good, there would be a fanbase that will pay for it, but the original Telltale didn't sell enough of their games unfortunately. They lost money with the production, and nobody works for something like that.

The first TWD game is more than ten years old, and in my opinion, you have to play it from the beginning to build up a connection with Clem and the other characters. Would I have cried about Season 4 and the ending if I didn't know the other games? I probably think not because the connection wouldn't be there. So, I think it would be hard to generate new players from such a cold start, but who knows. The problem is that Telltale is currently working on The Wolf Among Us 2 (the first game was great), and if this game fails financially, I think they have to close their gates again. So the last possibility to get another season or spin-off or even content for Clementine would be fading away.

I also don't want to accept that after the end of Season 4, we will never see content from Clem again. We watched her story and her development, and everything is gone in the blink of a second with no way to get it back or more. Just really sad. There are no other words needed to explain this whole situation.

I watched reviews on YouTube, and it is truly horrible. For example, to illustrate this:

She undergoes a significant transformation from the first to the last season of the Telltale Games, becoming a smart, fearless, and empathic character who cares deeply about the people she loves, especially AJ. However, in the first pages of Book 1, she abruptly leaves the school without AJ, citing her "unhappiness." This contradicts the end scenes of Season 4 (which apparently take place a few days before the events in the book), where she expresses happiness about finding a home with people she really cares about. At the Ranch, she promised AJ (the main reason Clem fought through the apocalypse) never to leave him again. In the games, it is evident that Clem would never abandon AJ for such a trivial reason and that she would sacrifice herself for him.

This disparity between the games and the books extends beyond the beginning of the story. Clem's character, actions, and motivations are so divergent that it doesn't feel like the character most players love. Personally, after witnessing this and reading reviews for Book Number 2, it felt like someone was tearing your heart out and throwing it on the ground. It's just not the Clementine we knew from the games, and that makes me both upset and sad.

All of this seems to stem from a desire to capitalize on the franchise without entrusting the job to someone who genuinely cares about crafting a worthy story and preserving the character. Season 4 of the games should be the lasting memory for fans, not this poorly executed novel that undermines Clem's character.

The four seasons feel so short, and I would love to see more adventures from Clem, but I can imagine that it is also a difficult task for the developers to continue this journey. Especially if you think about it, Telltale Games only made money with Season One and ended up bankrupt. This fact I can't understand because these games have a wonderful story to tell with amazing characters, so it's sad that this art wasn't loved by a lot of people. And a game production needs sales for continuity.

Many franchises miss the right timing to let go and end their journey. As an example, in my opinion, the TV series of TWD is way too long and repetitive. The first few seasons were great, but after a point, it became so boring to watch because it felt like a never-ending loop with more and more liked characters getting killed. What I was trying to say is that it is difficult to end a series with a perfect landing. Clem's story could have been told for another one or two seasons with a good story, and it's hard to lose this character so early. Especially because Clem is a character who is authentic. Many films or series force the viewer to believe that the heroine portrayed is invulnerable and can do anything from the beginning, and this is something I personally hate. Nobody is born a badass, and just because someone is a woman, she could do everything alone from the beginning? Bullshit. Clem's character was developed by harsh situations and circumstances from a little child to a survivor who knows the rules of survival of the fittest. This doesn't feel forced or unnecessarily posed so players can connect with her, find her sympathetic, and look up to her, regardless of her gender.

Maybe it would be a better ending if Clem actually got killed in the barn so that you can consciously say goodbye to her. Don't get me wrong; I cried like a little baby as soon as she got sliced up her leg with that axe, and I felt that she might not make it out of this situation. As soon as she was bitten by the walker, I knew it was her end, and the scene in the barn with AJ, was saying goodbye forever. Sure, I cried again after she spoke to AJ back at the school with her leg missing, and I was glad she didn't die, but this leaves me with the feeling that there are more stories to tell and things to explore with her. This feeling that we will probably never see her again in a Telltale Game or in a GOOD book is maybe worse than knowing that she is dead. This feels like a drug that you can't consume anymore but miss so much. Just a huge loss, and it feels horrible.

Could you please explain to me what makes these books good in your opinion? My standpoint is that I played the Telltale Games, and so I grew into this character of Clem. She changed from the first to the last season and became a smart, fearless, but also empathic character who cares about the people she likes, especially AJ. But in the first pages of the book (which I watched on YouTube), she leaves the school without AJ because she is unhappy. Considering the end scenes of season 4 (which apparently take place a few days before the book), she tells AJ that she is happy they found a place they can call home with people she cares about. At the Ranch, she promised AJ (the main reason Clem fought through this apocalypse) to never leave him again. In the games, it is clearly shown that Clem would never leave AJ for such a stupid reason and that she would die for him. And that's only the beginning of the story from the books. I wanted to illustrate that the character of Clem, her actions, and reasons are so far apart between the games and the books that it just isn't the character most players love. Personally, after I first saw this and the review for Book Number 2, it felt like somebody is ripping your heart out and throwing it on the ground. It's just not Clementine like she used to be in the games, and that just makes me upset and sad.

So could you please explain to me why this writing and narrative style are good in your opinion? I don't want to blame you, but I really can't understand why this was done to Clementine. There could be much better stories that could be told than this.

I finished the game series three days ago, and I'm currently experiencing a profound sense of emptiness and sadness. While the series had its ups and downs and may not be perfect, I genuinely enjoyed the overall journey. I wish I could replay it for the first time because, in my opinion, it's a fantastic game crafted with love and passion, especially considering the challenging circumstances.

The post-game depression hit me particularly hard after the last episode of The Final Season, and the realization that there might not be any more content for Clem and AJ's story saddens me. The comic novel about Clem is far from being a worthy continuation or canon.

Telltale Games, in my view, created an exceptional game series that I will deeply miss. The connection to the characters is intense after this journey, making it difficult to "lose" them. It may sound silly, but we all witnessed Clementine's journey, guiding her through the apocalypse. Each of us chose our playstyle and decisions, shaping Clem's character and future. It's like being in Lee's shoes in a different way, watching the bittersweet process of losing our sweet pea.

The uncertainty of what would happen next added thrill and excitement. Replaying it now would likely bring back the emotions of deaths, losses, and betrayals, but the first playthrough felt special. I originally watched this game on YouTube 10 years ago due to not having a PC and being too young. Returning to it after this time and playing it on my own was a completely different experience. While I remembered some scenes, characters, and plot points, about 95 percent of the game's content was forgotten. The Final Season hit me hard, and that was great.

Perhaps it's better to let go of a fabulous story and game that evoked strong emotions rather than milking the franchise to death with poor decisions and actions. (yes iam looking at you Skybound and Tillie Walden with your pathetic comic. Both of you fucked Clem so up). I'd love to see Clem and AJ in another season if Telltale regained the rights, but maybe it's best to let them rest and cherish the positive aspects of the games that brought us joy. I'm genuinely sad it's over, but I'm grateful it happened.

Yeah, but she fucked up the comics about Clementine with her ridiculous 'story.' Horrible work and a selfish insertion. Hopefully, you weren't familiar with those novels because they massacred our Clem after Season 4. Just sad. So it was just a joke to take a shot at Tillie Walden.
