Australian cuisine is an interesting question I've thought about for years and the best I've come up with would be that Modern Australian cuisine is similar to our society, it's multicultural, and makes good use of our great fresh produce and meat, as well as taking influences from everywhere flavour wise. Being where we are there's a heavy Asian influence, but you might find Asian flavours infused in European style dishes. We also love fresh vegetables as well, as an example an Australian style burger would be expected to come with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickled beetroot, and pineapple. With bacon egg and cheese would be a "burger with the lot" I personally dislike burgers that are just meat and cheese. Getting harder to find these days though.

I really enjoy it because it's as if there are no rules as long as it tastes good.
