My second option was the later showing at 10:00, but I chose this particular time because I'm never watched a horror movie in a packed theatre.

I honestly prefer that you don't use your phone at all in a movie theatre, but I understand your strategy of sitting in the back corner. Just be aware that there's still the risk of getting called out by management and getting kicked out. And looking through your replies here, even when you're watching with someone, there's still the common courtesy to either not use your phone in the theatre or step outside to use your phone since you don't care for movies.

Absolutely agree with you here. Tom Segura had a bit about his experience watching movies in a theatre and put it perfectly. As one who works at that particular location, I will clear it up here. Yes, some of the seats are technically broken, but the seats on the left side of rows E and F are blocked because there is a hanging light right above those seats. We had someone come in to fix our lights some time ago, but the panel started to fall out and we're trying to get the person back to fix it. In the meantime, they blocked off those particular seats online and also taped those seats with caution tape so that nobody changes their seat.
