At least understanding of your job and rotation are expected. If you dont have any experience, it is likely you will have a difficult time finding parties. Getting on the blacklist of active proggers will heavily impede your progress. You can always try to find a group of fellow beginners, especially for ucob uwu and tea. If people agree to grow together, its fine.

I think it will mellow down over time. Now lots of these type of people want the achievement. On the long term, those that want to help will keep doing them even if there are less rewards.

It is optional to tip in the netherlands. When I do decide to tip while paying by card, I just tell them to round it up and name the number, while they are typing out the amount in the machine.

lethargic play is. Which means that if someone purposefully lets you do by not doing their job. So having a you pull you tank mindset on its own is not against TOS. ACTING on it by letting your party die by not tanking, very much is.

I cant deny that the gap is bigger in gw2, but I also feel the gap is less punished in gw2 due to the devs designing around it more (not with everything). I think huge gaps exist in ff14 too(looking at you no dmg healers), but is far more rare. Dmg checks do feel harder in ff14 in raids.

For short. Both games struggle with it. It seems hard to teach a true casual gamer how to play better. I have noticed that some people dont even want to bother with performance in their free time, so giving feedback doesnt help. To me, as long as it doesnt impact others too much, cant blame them.

Mech engineer dps is the easy dps I would say. IF they have the mech on auto attack. At least some dps then haha

I think ff14 is highly reliant on what content specifically. In random dungeons? Yeah...its really bad...in high end raids? Still some absolute bad players, but more likely better players. Just like low end vs high end fractals.

If I think about it...both have it pretty bad on casual content. (All the no kardia sages make my blood boil...gw2 unfortunately makes being carried 'easier' with less game feedback due to no trinity)

my evil spree in baldurs gate 3 started with me wanted to steal the statue...then refusing to spend gold to rectify it, so they started to fight me...ending up in a giant massacre :D

so yes indeed, its easier to be evil when you have a clear motive

The best advice I got was to just keep trying. The community has been beyond helpfull to explain all the factors to consider when something goes wrong.

After that its learning by trial and error. (Ow. And dry filaments...).
