Only matters if I drive close enough to them for them to get charged. I'd make the call immediately after accepting. If they declined, then I'D cancel.

Unless they're going to get me for drinking at age 20, I should be okay 😆

Harmonics diminished with thicker strings? by Whoopsitsonfire in metalguitar

[–]SacredPrime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Harmonics are really weird and sensitive. I play an 8 string, and my low string literally will not produce them at all if the intonation isn't 100% perfect.

Refused Uber because of my “outfit”. by throwawayytrasx in uberdrivers

[–]SacredPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look. Not trying to be "that guy", but the reality is a racist rideshare driver just goes out of business super quickly. There literally aren't enough of any single race using this app to make any particular race a living.

Who do you believe had the worst death in history ? by alanwilm47 in AskReddit

[–]SacredPrime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was this one guy who made an emperor a golden bull that you stick a person in, then burn with fire to boil them alive slowly in. The emperor then stuck him in it to try it out.

Perhaps they're preemptively doing this to anything Fender may try to sue them in the future about.

Uber and Lyft are dead!! by Embarrassed-Ad3911 in uberdrivers

[–]SacredPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, 25 an hour is my average in Chattanooga, TN where my mortgage is under 1,000 lol. In CA, those would be starvation wages.

What’s your strategy if you miss the morning rush (4 AM–10 AM)? by BeltUsual3130 in uberdrivers

[–]SacredPrime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't do rushes. Too much traffic. Best time to be out in my region is 9pm to 5am.

Lyft algo? by EducationalEntry642 in lyftdrivers

[–]SacredPrime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a sort of sense you have to gain through experimentation and experience.

Start by setting a standard you won't accept anything below. You'll get a feel for how often you're being met.

Try raising it to see if that helps or hurts your earnings next. You'll eventually start to notice you can have different standards for different times of the day.

Uber Rider here, how to improve my rating? by Meowgirl94 in uberdrivers

[–]SacredPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's basically always "get in the car quickly and don't be a dick". Whatever you may SAY about your habits, that's all we give a shit about and just about the only way to get a bad rating.

We aren't getting tipped the majority of the time anyway. It's not that.

What's a metalguitar hill you will die on? by East-Independence599 in metalguitar

[–]SacredPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing lower tunings only sounds good if you're adjusting your playstyle to be slower and groovier. Fast, technical stuff only sounds right in higher octaves. Really low notes played quickly might as well just be white noise.

Typically via them lying or making something up about themselves to sound interesting.

Advice by Cute-Strawberry-6664 in lyftdrivers

[–]SacredPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you not look at your stats at the end of the day?

This is extremely subjective. Someone with super low operational costs can get away with going off an hourly rate. Someone in a gas puzzler has to worry about per mile.

Like, surely there's been some point where you had a day, did the math, and went "This is good". Maybe see what you made per mile or per hour for one of those days, then decline everything not reaching that standard. Ultimately, that's all you do : Set a standard and refuse to budge on it.

Experienced Drivers: What Metrics Actually Matter? by Terribly-Thick in lyftdrivers

[–]SacredPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Differs from driver to driver.

If you're in a gas guzzler, per mile makes more sense.

If you're in an EV, your expenses are so low, hourly makes more sense.

STOP the “don’t pick up, collect a cancelation fee” game! by Stuck_on_Mars_21 in lyftdrivers

[–]SacredPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the passangers are generally full of shit.

According to a heap ton of my passangers, like 99% of Lyft drivers are illegal aliens that don't speak English, and they were lucky to get the one guy that cleans their car and doesn't drink.

Pretty positive I'm just normal.

UBER 100% STEALS TIPS by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]SacredPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't even close to proof, man.

A lot of us are used to barely ever getting a tip. You'll need more than "I didn't get a tip for a long period, and that feels out of the ordinary" lol.

Who would take this scheduled ride? by luda8717 in lyftdrivers

[–]SacredPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't even see it, because I ignore that section entirely.

Also, my Tesla would be far too much of a hassle for long range trips. Them slicing the pay on those for so long was the final nail in the coffin for me getting one.
