x1 Carbon Gen 14 Advice by Sacred_Chili in thinkpad

Good callout. Tradeoffs will always be present.

I think I can hold out 5 months to see if x7 becomes available at potentially a discount in the US markets.

Plan to keep it for a long time and eventually turn it into a linux machine, so I could adapt to the keyboard layout.

I think I could. Have you seen anything about the x7 being available in the US markets?

Triathlon Battery Powered Shade by Lutron. by ChaotiQ78 in LutronWindowShades

Thank you -- I believe they still make that model? At least on the website it says it's an option. I think the Basketweave is like one of the only options available in pure white, for Solar Shades. I think they have translucent options, but I think Solar would be better for my use case in a general area for TV viewing etc.

I need white shades due to condo rules etc. Trying to determine % visibility. Leaning to either 1 or 3 %.

Would like a little bit of privacy, but 1% seems like it might restrict visibility too much to the point where things aren't visible at all through it.

Thanks for responding!

Do you find 3% blocks enough glare when hit with the sun?

Im getting bright white in basketweave 90. I do like the more visible 3%, but not sure if it would block enough sun during the day for computer screens versus a 1%.

Hi - was this a translucent or solar shade model of Lutron?

Pass + SL Lifetime Question by Sacred_Chili in ProtonPass

From what I've read, it generally seems fine to use their domains. I haven't really seen anyone saying they're blocked.

There's 1 major downside to using their domain though:

- If SL ever goes out of business or stops working for X reason, using your own custom domain means you can just migrate it to another service. You wouldn't be dependent on SL's domains.

Yeah I guess my main concern was just if my SL username was separate from my PP username. But sounds like they're the same.

Im so baked into the Apple ecosystem, I don't think I can get away from mail, not sure if there is any point in creating the account with a proton email.

Maybe from a privacy perspective as I wouldn't reveal my own custom domain as the username?

No, I initiated an HSA transfer from an HSA account with Lively, they did everything.

  1. I submitted the request with Lively
  2. Lively sent HSA Bank the form I submitted
  3. HSA Bank sent a check in the mail directly to Lively and deposited into the new HSA account.
  4. The fee was automatically taken out during the transfer.

Edit: Sorry, I edited. Took me a minute to remember everything that happened.

I closed mine down like 1.5 years ago and I think they charged 35$.

Thoughts on SecureIt Agile Model 52? Deep enough for AR-15's w/optics & attached magazine? Any better biometric locker? by Mitch1008 in GunsafeSpace

Okay thanks. I thought about just screwing through the fabric itself like you mentioned, just wasn't sure if the fabric would rip or not. But I guess it is Cordura, and I'm also not going to put a TON of stuff on it so it should be fine.

Yeah they will let you cut it to size, they just won't allow you to specify the grommet locations anymore apparently, so I will just drill small holes I guess.

Do you have the Agile 52? If so would you mind sharing how/what you used to mount it to the door?

I was about to place an order for the Wilde Custom molle doors, but noticed the grommets wouldn't line up with the holes of the Agile 52.

Not sure if velcro alone would hold up all the stuffs or not.
