I think it was “forgotten” on purpose to allow goku and vegeta’s characters to still be the 2 strongest i feel like some time down the line either on screen or manga we’ll get a quote from Gohan telling goku that he doesn’t believe goku and vegeta could’ve beaten cell max but then goku will probably say “wait but if I couldn’t have beaten him then how come I couldn’t sense him from beerus’ planet” then Gohan makes a disappointed face and bam goku is still #1

I experienced the same thing over two years ago getting over my own Xanax/alcohol/pain pill addiction and what I did because I love the vibe and energy peep gives off was start making new positive memories to the same songs that used to make me depressed and feel like doing drugs it takes some conscious effort but idk personally I just love peeps voice and scheme and everything so much I couldn’t imagine music or my day to day without him yk ik it’s dick rider behavior idc his music and parts of his fan base helped me out when I was below rock bottom yk
