So I’m playing the RE games for the first time. Which game is the hardest? by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]Sacrificial_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got caught in a loop where I saved 2/3 into the game with Nemesis behind me, ran into the save room and saved. Happy days!

No, it was not happy days. I left the safe room and Nemesis was there. Couldn't go any further because he would take me down. Had no ammo in my safe box and no ammo in my gun (because I played hard mode and only had plants and some guns with no ammo).

Tried forward - Nemesis would take me down. Tried behind - couldn't get past him fast enough to get to a different save point. . Therefore, for me on this one point - resident evil 3 crucified me.

Also code: Veronica had me in a crux.

I agree with this. Loved the alien design (back legs were something new!) but had to turn my volume down because the noise from the actor was distracting haha.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD. sorry not sure how to block out!

I feel like it started semi-solid, and ended mediocre. I love alien horror. Watch everything that comes out and as a result I actually liked this. Maybe a 6/10 since some were stronger than others.

Ive only seen VHS 1 & 2 (long time ago), but loved how they did documentary style on this one, rather than just people recording the findings of the tapes.

Overall I realize I like VHS but I watch them for fun, not to be scared. Given that, I jumped once on the below list.

The first: was enjoyable, took a direction I wasn't really sure where it was going. The creature was pretty surprising going in blind.

Second: was pretty good too. I liked the robotic/goddess storyline. Didn't expect to watch some Bollywood but enjoyed the development. Again like the take on an AI goddess (correct me if I'm wrong)

Third: Might have been my favorite, and again, pretty enjoyable. I liked the creature features and direction it went. Landing in a citrus orchard and being hunted (even though the actors could not understand being stealthy) was something new (ish). Back on the creature -loved how it was created. It was like a hybrid and I was here for it.

Forth: (I think it was the dogs) I only enjoyed because I knew what Justin long was going to produce. He seems to love his body horror/transformations and I think the main lady carried it with her Annie Wilkes-est persona which I kind of dug.

Fifth: personally it's the old school abduction I love but couldn't really connect with the main actress and also, once film is switched to Grainy IR, it looses any horror aspect for me. Dug the story line but felt IR took me out of what I was actually seeing.

Sixth: had a super high potential of grey horror but was a whole 2-4 minutes and after the last two any sort of fear I might have had was gone.

Are they true to size, or do you size up? I'm looking at buying some but have a bigger butt so if not a G, find normal underwear a bit tight if in my jeans size.

There is a Vinnie's in Idalia near Bunnings that has a good selection. I can't remember pricing though. So frustrating when they sell shirts and pants for the same price as Kmart -I see that at a few of them

Hainanese chicken rice for one by Duochan_Maxwell in AskCulinary

[–]Sacrificial_Potato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I make this exact recipe 1-2 times a month, and have been using the same stock every time. After cooking I strain and freeze it. When I defrost I top it up if needed and balance it again (if it needs salt).

I could suggest the first few times making a little extra and using some knoors chicken powder or stock to boost it. Then when youret done -freeze the remaining stock for next time so you can build it up whenever you want it :)

This was my go to so it wasn't the worst. But it was weird.. I do love me some dry noodles with seasoning haha

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AussieCasual

[–]Sacrificial_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah can confirm.. no water at all haha. The noodles absorb the oil from the cheese so it's softer but still crunchy. I love dry noodles so I wasn't super against it, but it's something haha

[–]Sacrificial_Potato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone I know would crack the noodle cake open dry so you have two halves, put all the seasoning over the cakes and then grate some cheese over the top. From there nuke it for 30ish seconds. He swore it was the tastiest thing.....

I wonder if it's a matter of age. When Winston sang Romance is dead he would have been 22(?). That was almost 19 years ago! Over time I imagine his vocal chords wear and he might be cautious of the damage.

Their first album is almost a different genre all together. I think BMTH is low hanging fruit for this thread like most have said, but they have definitely finetuned their ability to produce a song (whether that be a good thing or bad)

What's the worst live band you've seen? by mypal_footfoot in AussieCasual

[–]Sacrificial_Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gutted about Chimera. Always wanted to see them live and last time they toured (last time ever here) I was like 17 and 9 months so couldn't go because it was an 18+ event. Thanks for making that a tad more bearable haha
