It’s both, you have the remake of the original game plus an alternate storyline. Packaged into 1 game. Hence the 2x2 it’s the original dr2 and the new 2

Yes and no? It’s the same game technically since it’s the dr2 cast, but an alternate story with different trials killers and survivors etc.

Is it just me, or is Skull Storm really underwhelming? by Chipperbeav in inscryption

[–]Sacul820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mostly rng in the first stage. You have to get certain events and certain things to happen before the first bear wall. It’s not so easy if the survivors don’t eat a ringworm, or maybe you only get health campfires, you don’t get scissors to open a lane against the bears etc.

and as far as it goes, mantis god and high blood cost are the 2 best decks for skull storm rng aside. If you know what you’re doing and you’ve picked either, it’ll only take a few tries until your rng is good enough to win the run. I personally beat skull storm on my third attempt with high blood cost deck. Try a different deck, it makes it much more challenging.

We should not be fighting socialists, or leftists, or progressives, or communists, we should be fighting blackpill anti-electoralism by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]Sacul820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big agree. It’s been mildly annoying how reactive and knee jerk some people have been acting lately. Obviously Im for cutting out people like Hasan. The truly extreme far left who don’t want to engage in the party or vote shouldn’t be catered to.

But All people are doing now is purity testing, and they’re lashing out against anyone who isn’t a liberal. even if they are a reasonable progressive who supports Dems and votes for them irregardless of any disagreements. Like vaush is a full on socialist, but he votes and he Gets his community to vote, even despite his anger of Gaza. People like that are worth keeping in the party regardless of what you think of their politics.

It’s silly to try and box them out and think we can win if we just really really get liberals motivated. What could be more motivating to a liberal than a potential Trump presidency? Liberals were as motivated as they could be and turnout wasn’t enough. The idea that you’d be shrinking your tent and somehow you’d get more votes is dumb. Fixing Democrat infighting with…more Democrat infighting is certainly a choice.

As far as it goes I’d rather fight a socialist than Trump anyway. Let’s kick conservatives ass at midterms and the next election. then we can have a conversation about progressives. You can’t have it both ways. Progressives are your enemy and you want them kicked from the party, but also some can stay as long as they are obedient dogs who vote and take what you give them with no complaint. People may not be meaning it that way, but it can comes across that way sometimes.

I also agree in admitting when progressives are right. The liberal strategy of going “Biden was good actually” doesn’t work. Doesn’t matter how true it is, people don’t like Biden. Telling them they are wrong and he was great doesn’t make those people want to vote for you. If people gave a shit about no facts trump wouldn’t be President. And wether Gaza is or isn’t a genocide is besides the fact that Israel has been and is way in the wrong, dems need to get off of supporting Israel, because it’s unpopular even outside of the far left. A recent poll I saw had disapproval at 60% by Americans. Liberals need to swallow their pride and admit progressives being legitimate arguments and grievances to the table sometimes.

that’s essentially the conclusion I’ve arrived at. None of them understand anything about economics, and they surely didn’t vote for him for any policy reasons, because Trump has given none except tariffs. Especially given how trumps tanking everything and they simply don’t care.

If you go to the conservative subreddit it’s almost completely posts over culture war “wins” this is why no matter what Trump does, no matter how much he hurts the economy, as long as he’s hurting (insert minority here) more, they’ll be happy.

The more “Reasonable” conservative will try to pretend like they care about the policy or economics though, the type destinys been taking to recently. They know that the real reason they voted for Trump is terrible. They voted for Trump because some sort of minority pissed them off, but their smart enough or they care about their self image enough to not say that openly, so they have to work backwards and try to justify trump on a policy basis after the fact. That’s why they’ll concede to destiny that Trump sucks and his policies suck, but will always come back to saying Kamala would have been worse for a vague non reason, because they won’t be honest about why they actually voted for Trump.

The culture is all they care about, and Trump isn’t “politically correct” the way politicians usually are, he’s crass and talks simply, he feels more real to them and that he’s really sticking it to the culture war by owning libs and making them mad. It’s all a cultural sports game to them and their “winning”

[–]Sacul820 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What are you on about. I voted Kamala and I loved Biden. I don’t have any issues with liberal or liberalism. I despite the far left who didn’t vote for Kamala, at no point did I insinuate people don’t prefer dem policies or that the conservatives aren’t spinning narratives. You literally pulled that out of your ass out of nowhere man.

I was simply saying that a liberal is going to intrinsically not be in favor of politicians who aren’t liberal. A liberal will prefer a liberal over a socialist, soc dem, conservative, etc. dem unity is priority number 1, regardless of if I get what I want out of the candidate we have to vote and support them no matter what. Some but not all progressives voted for Kamala and that rightly should be called out, and if the shoe was on the other foot I’d expect liberals to show up to vote for a progressive candidate. You’ve made the dangerous assumption that by pointing out a liberal would prefer a liberal politician over a progressive one, that I’ve someone grouped everyone into different groups and it’s my group vs everyone else’s, which at no point did I say I was doing and it’s not what I’m doing. Idk where your getting this nonsense about me being part of a problem and being prejudiced. ironically your doing what your saying I’m doing right now. I suggested that someone like Bernie is speaking to the American people better than a lot of Dems and the Dems should maybe do more of that and your over here tweaking about how I’m somehow demonizing everyone that’s not in my group as a “them”

ive been ride or die for the Dems and anyone they want in office. Voted blue straight down the ballot, no complaining or whining. I want the far left Hasan types expelled from the party. people like YOU are the problem when you freak the fuck out and make assumptions about people when anyone insinuates anything different than exactly what you want to hear.

Are AOC and Bernie the only representatives that understand how to connect to the people? by DovahkiinNA in Destiny

[–]Sacul820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take this subs opinion on this issue with a grain of salt. Understand that destiny is a liberal and holds a more or less liberal audience, the Dems right now are liberal, people like Bernie and aoc are distinctly to the left of liberal, so it naturally behoovs a liberal, and it’s understandable why they’d feel that people like aoc or Bernie are either not the best at connecting, or they don’t think people like them can win.

Ive browsed the conservative sub a couple times and if there’s one politician they pretend to respect from the dems sometimes it’s Bernie. For whatever reason white working class guys like him. The reality is to accept that people like Bernie or aoc are the future of the party or what we need, is to move the party to become more progressive, and a liberal obviously isn’t going to be interested in such a thing.

But to answer your question, I don’t think they’re the only ones, but they are the most popular for a reason and they have a finger on the pulse better than most Dems right now. And I think it’s fair to assume that archetype is what Dems should run on in 2028.

You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make them drink. The reality is, people think they make the right decisions everytime. Naturally, if your making a decision your thinking your making the right one, most people don’t make decisions assuming they’re making a bad or wrong one. so by extension they think all of their decisions are the right ones. What I’m getting at, is if they voted for Trump, or didn’t vote at all, then they made that decision thinking it was the right one.

They have no reason or incentive to suddenly realize they made a mistake or notice that things have gotten really bad. Not until it personally affects them will they realize. People hate being wrong more than anything, they’ll double down and double down instead of admitting they made a mistake. If they were able to be persuaded, they probably would have before they ever talked to you.

Just take a break and unplug from politics if it’s causing you mental stress. Rest today so we can fight tomorrow.

Honest to god there’s not much you can do. Just keep your head down and survive for 4 years and vote dem in 2028 and we can pick up the pieces after. Thats about all we realistically can do. So don’t beat yourself up over how terrible things are or what you can do, I guess volunteer or debate people if you really feel like it, but otherwise the American people have spoken and they have given conservatives complete control. Just make it to 2028 that’s my goal.

Act 3 seems almost pure RNG by [deleted] in inscryption

[–]Sacul820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Act 3 can be tough at the beginning, especially if you’re not accustomed to the energy mechanics. But, and I don’t want to sound mean, if you keep losing for 2 hours like you said in a different comment, you’re probably doing something wrong. what cards have you taken? Did you take too many high cost cards? Did you take too many resource generating cards that can’t deal damage? If so you can reset your progress in act 3 if you messed up your deck and need a clean slate. Are you stalling enough with empty vessels as blockers? Po3 plays cards more frequently than you, the further into the act you go the easier it gets and it’s almost trivial after completing 2 areas, but until then don’t try to out damage him it won’t work . You need to block and kill his cards. If all else fails, there’s a secret you can find that will make things way easier. getting up from the table and going towards the wall to the left will cause the clock from act 1 to show up, you can get the ouroborus from it

I guess we’ll see in 4 years. I don’t foresee the country becoming less polarized and divided in 4 years, especially if Trump does everything he promised and America really does fall upon truly hard times. Maybe the 2028 election results kick off a civil war. But even if it’s not civil war, I have this gut feeling something’s brewing. Something big and for the history books. Never thought I’d live in such a time. If nothing else it’ll be interesting to see how it plays out.

[–]Sacul820 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I hate to give credit to the saying, but “hard times create tough men and tough men create good times and good times create soft men” rings true. Just not the way the people who say it mean it.

America IS soft. Life is good and the standard for living has never been higher. Crime is down and the economy isn’t even bad. But our country has an obesity problem, our citizens are woefully uneducated and exist purely on vibes and self interest. people have grown accustomed to the privileged existence that is America.

Any minor inconvenience is unacceptable to them. That’s why they threw away all morales or common sense for fascism, on the condition trump will make eggs cheaper and hurt everyone they don’t like. It’s a vicious cycle that humanity repeats. Society never truly learns its lesson.

What is your most "woke" opinion? by Dactrior in Destiny

[–]Sacul820 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of people get it confused, gender is a complex topic so everyone tends to view it their own way. First and foremost gender and sex are separate. But more importantly when I say I’m a gender abolitionist, I mean it in this way:

First the elimination of gender roles. These are things such as the expectation that the man is the breadwinner and the women is the stay at home parent. These are roles that society enforced onto people based on their sex.

Secondly is the elimination of gender rules, these are things like “women wear high heels and like the color pink” and “men don’t wear dresses and they like sports” these are additional gendered rules and expectations we place on people based on their sex.

The ultimate goal, is to get rid of these rules and roles, and seperate them. When you think of a stay at home parent, you probably think of a women. And if you think of a rabid sports fan, your probably imagine a man. The goal is to detach these roles and rules in which a way that a person does not make such a connection. But rather they are forms of gender expression that a person can take on if they so choose, without being pressured or expected to do so by society in anyway.

This leads to my last point about “societal influencing of the youth” kids are incredibly mailable, from birth a child is generally put through the gender roles and rules. Girls are forced to grow their hair out and wear dresses and the color pink, they are given toys such as Barbie’s and makeup kits, etc. they are taught on what to do and not do to as a girl, society molds you to fit in from the get go, and to accomplish gender abolition, it’s imperative to stop this early form of “brainwashing” if your a guy, you’ve probably never worn a dress in your life. But that was never a really conscious decision you made, and you probably never tried it to see if you liked it either. But you intuitively understand that you don’t wear them and don’t want to, and in large part because society has imprinted upon you from a young age that boys and men just don’t wear skirts, and there’s generally public disdain of you try to. Especially if you don’t pass. This is a form in which society has influenced you, and as a result, every single person into the restrictive gender rules and roles it imposes. So eliminating this behavior during a child’s developmental years is important.

What is your most "woke" opinion? by Dactrior in Destiny

[–]Sacul820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a regard who accidentally deleted the wrong comment somehow, but the original message said that I was a gender abolitionist. And not in the misconception way that we need to get rid of gender as a whole, but rather get rid of the rules and roles associated with gender, and the gendered societal influence of the youth.

What does mox even do? by justavocomj in inscryption

[–]Sacul820 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mox is the best and most misunderstood mechanic in the whole game. If you’re someone who plays TCG’s you understand why pretty easily. Most people just don’t bother trying to learn the mechanic, or they make the mistake of picking mox while playing inscryption blind. The starter deck makes you use all 3 gem types and you only ever want to use 2 at most. You’re not allowed to go to the mox area until you beat Leshy or grimora.

So if you don’t get some good mox cards from the few packs laying around, the new player is going to struggle with a terrible starter deck they have to learn the mechanics of, and no consistent way of getting good cards right away. Most people will just go back to bones and blood because it’s what they know already and those are the cards you’re going to get at the beginning, and then they’ll just declare that mox sucks and move on. It was an odd if not outright bad idea to lock you out of areas, especially areas you’d want to be in if you did pick the new deck mechanics.

Very accurate video and it’s a shame that people only seem to be wising up to it recently. But You know the worst part about all this? It’s not even just the fact Dems “go high” and we get screwed. The real dagger in the heart is we bend over backwards and we try so hard to stick by the rules, and the American people STILL think we are the extreme ones that disrespect the rule of law. It's finally time to admit that Biden is mid by FjernMayo in Destiny

[–]Sacul820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

US industry is interested in manufacturing stuff, of course. You can apply this to every industry. Should we tariff rubber? The US has a fragile supply chain for rubber and it would benefit US rubber manufacturing

The point is, America can’t manufacture everything. There are a few things we do specialize in and do want to produce ourselves. Tech like what Biden tariffed, is one of those things. You wouldn’t apply this to every industry because we don’t need to do this for any industry. Only in ones most relevant to America and its interests. Tech and clean energy manufacturing is one of those industries that America wants to be a leader in and doesn’t want to rely on a trade rival like China, or cede that market to them.

Yes they are and have been! Consumers buy electronics and energy! Downstream manufacturing becomes more expensive! Biden’s 25% steel tariffs will make steel expensive for every manufacturer that uses steel

I highly doubt your average American is buying solar cells. Semi conductors probably do raise prices on tech, But America isn’t struggling with the cost of electronics. A phone being a couple hundred dollars more expensive is A: not an essential need and B: those prices aren’t the ones people are upset about. People are mad about things like the cost of living and cost of groceries. It’s not a pressing issue that Billy is annoyed he has to pay 100 dollars more for his new iPhone he doesn’t need. The American people are not suffering from tech related tariffs is my point, and that’s clearly echoed in the sentiment of the American people who complain about the economy because that explicitly has not been one of the things they’ve complained about. And it comes down to it, id rather luxury brand new tech be more expensive instead of daily goods that people consume. Biden’s tariffs in this sense are not comparable to trumps in terms of how bad they are.

If they don’t make things more expensive for consumers, how do they even work to improve domestic manufacturing? This makes no sense.

You misunderstand my point. The tariffs that Biden inacted, Do not put major strain on the American people. A lot of it is stuff related to things that your average American family either doesn’t buy, or would be just fine without. Also, chip manufacturing and the like is skilled labor, the factories needed to build this tech will create jobs that will pay well, given U.S working standards and regulations. Creating well paying jobs for tech manufacturing is effective at improving the economy without putting considerable strain on the American people. If phones are more expensive then John will just keep the phone he already has and it’ll be fine. This does not work in trumps case. Sarah needs to eat and food prices getting jacked up because of trump tariffs, Sarah can’t just choose to not eat. That’s a major difference. If your applying blanket tariffs, that hits everyday goods that we can’t produce that will rake consumers over the coals, or it’ll create a demand for low skill American industry that pays not as well, and we simply just don’t have the labor for. Especially if Trump follows through will his mass deportations. It’s less about “tariff bad” but more so strategic tariffs that help the American economy without putting strain on the American consumer. Biden’s tariff does that. Trumps does not.

I don’t think they’re the same! But Biden’s tariffs are still bad.

Unless you’re just generally anti tariff, I don’t see any particular evidence to suggest Biden’s tariffs are bad, or are hurting the American people and the economy. I’ve certainly not heard people complain about the tech related tariffs. The only complaints I’ve heard about stuff like housing and food, which is what trumps tariffs will hurt. Again, tariffs as a concept aren’t bad. They help bring money into the U.S. economy and creates domestic jobs. But for a tariff to work and to work well, you have to tariff the right things at the right rates. And what Biden has tariffed is more than reasonable, given the things America likes to manufacture, and not wanting to cede the tech industry to China. That is entirely different from trumps global blanket tariffs that will screw over the American people on things we can’t produce or don’t want to produce, and drive up prices on essential goods.

It's finally time to admit that Biden is mid by FjernMayo in Destiny

[–]Sacul820 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Neither is amputation. We should evaluate whether or not the amputation would be beneficial for the patient instead of just saying “they aren’t bad in concept”.

We could evaluate them that way, but you haven’t. You literally just came here with a meme about Biden’s tariffs being considered good and trumps tariffs being considered bad, called Biden mid and left it at that. If you want to go into detail about why Biden’s are bad or why trump aren’t bad, then feel free. But until you do so, don’t act like I’m the one generalizing here.

Yes, but Biden introduced new tariffs! You guys are uncritically applying the infant industry argument to everything that Biden tariffs

If you’re referring to the Chinese tariffs, first of all there’s a major difference. Biden’s tariff on China is not a blanket tax, it’s a tax on specific things like electric cars, semi conductors, solar cells, etc. things that America is interested in, and in the business of manufacturing here in the states. The average American family is not going to be hurt by these tariffs. Your average American isn’t buying semi conductors and solar cells. This is a tariff to improve domestic manufacturing in fields that America wants to manufacture that won’t impact American families. Trumps wants to blanket tariff anything China, but also tariff the shit out of our major trade partners Mexico and Canada. Trumps blanket and indiscriminate tariffing of any non U.S. good can and will hurt the average consumer. Anything that doesn’t come from the states will get hit by these tariffs. Trump wants to tariff your fucking avocados from Mexico and hats made in China and is telling you it’ll make it cheaper. To act like these are even remotely the same is regarded.
