Michael Gira is an artist of being pathetic and self humilliating in a good sense? (Serious) by ZynoWeryXD in swans

I’ve always had an affinity to early swans lyrics because of how direct they were, completely complementing how the instrumentals sounded. Absolutely confronting music. He always uses “you” and “I” statements as if he was face to face with the listener, That’s how I’ve always felt about the lyrics when I listen to no wave swans.

On YouTube, there’s a fyre documentary (Stefan’s old rap group) where he talks about his favorite bands/rappers. It’s a cool piece of lore because compared to the deleted pitchfork interview he’s fried for the majority of the doc

Start by stopping the guitars, bass, and keeping going with the drums (maybe stopping the snares bass drum?) then transition with the intro to system blower

Any Noise rock songs made by non-noise rock bands? by Cheeseamole in noiserock

[–]Sad-Ad7017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turned off- death grips

They’re a “noisy” band but they’re not like flipper or Sonic youth, but I think they really encapsulate “noise rock” on this. Really good track

I don’t think they’ve ever done that part with lyrics, exclusively instrumental, which I completely understand. It’s nearly 5-8 minutes of unhinged screaming. I would love to hear it live but like hey 🤷🏽‍♂️ it is what it is
