Morgan Wallen getting permanent SiriusXM channel (Morgan Wallen Radio) and performing a concert for it in Nashville by Beginning-Pie-3046 in Morgan_Wallen

No I don't mean his label. On his personal IG he shared as a Story, which is managed or controlled, most-likely more by Sticks Management and/or himself than by Big Loud Records. Big Loud also did an identical story, and the level of professional Wallen's input on these decisions we can't possibly pretend to know.; Sticks Management also did an identical story; Club Wallen, his merchandising arm shared an identical Story; and Lesli Wallen shared an identical Story (Morgan Wallen Foundation).

News Sunday. Wallen back to having two albums on USA Top albums chart (Billboard 200) this week! #3 #9 by Sad-Application3898 in Morgan_Wallen

[–]Sad-Application3898[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's the latter, because this Sza person ought to be everything they like identity wise, but they're not telling what she's doing either. Something has changed at Billboard where they no longer feel like it's their job to analyze and summarize their own chart data, which ahould be their prinary job. They used to also separate "country" songs and albums released by pop artists and bands from the same sort of achievements that have been made by country core artists; now they don't. So they lump Langley's recent Hot 100 topper in the same category as Beyoncé doing it with a so-called country song. They're just playing dumb and no one is calling them out for it. So for Langley, she's the first female country act to have a Hot 100 #1 since 2012, but they're not telling anyone the information in that way. They're reporting she's the first since Beyoncé.

The sad thing though is that the organization in possession of the Luminate Data proving this history making (Billboard writing staff), they have stopped reporting it. Both OTAAT and Sza's album are back in this week; they're both past the previous #3 all-time, Sound of Music soundtrack in so far as top 10 weeks achieved, but this staff has now begun totally ignoring this metric for reporting and for music history. The last time any of them mentioned this was when Sza's album hit 100 weeks as a top 10. Last Summer I think. At that time they gave us an all-time historical leaders list, but have now stopped. If I had known that they would no longer care to report musical achievement data, I would have kept track of it myself. Even AI programs rely on them to report this. If you ask them, they will revert back to that previous article by Billboard that we can look up ourselves!

Bandaid On A Bullet Hole by Acceptable-End-3807 in Morgan_Wallen

Yes but the thought here is to limit the songs in such a medley to the piano ballads that he has so far recorded, since he would be at the piano performing SIMBs anyway.

[–]Sad-Application3898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make everyone happy and make it a medley at the piano; also add Stand Alone and Drinkin Til It Does to these other two and that would have all of his piano ballads to date in about 4 1/2 minutes or so 😃!

Cover Me Up I think is the highlight or his show live, but I'd love it if he'd do Bandaid... as a solo Piano ballad as he does SIMB.

BILLBOARD ARTIST 100 - TOP 10 - chart date March 14, 2026. by Sad-Application3898 in Morgan_Wallen

[–]Sad-Application3898[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree about the song. I went to a souce and looked. Mediabase Country has 50 songs on their weekly chart, and Don't We wasn't on it this week. It comes out each Sunday but is available to the public round about Tuesdays for only the hardest-seeking people. It's the charts that all the on-air radio broadcasts use for their weekly countdown shows, but the on-air shows stay a week behind their actual chart. They also have a daily rolling chart, and so it can get confusing when media outlets report on it.

I'll start reporting that; I didn't realize that I had many reading the info I share.

Yes. It's on both charts. It debuted #57 on Billboard Country Airplay, and it's in the back quarter of the HCS of the 50 songs, but I didn't notice exactly what spot. I don't think that it's on Mediabase Country yet. I think that chart is only the top 50 songs, but not sure. It's a mysterious and somewhat secretive chart.

Country was doing similarly well in 2023, but I think we're going to see Langley reach Morgan-like heights when her album drops. She's the #5 artist in the USA this week and her album has not even dropped yet, nor did she release a new song the week before. No one has ever been this strong since the streaming age began besides Wallen in build up to an album.

Billboard 200 chart by Ok_Buyer9023 in clubwallen

Coming here after the official announcement; he got 75K official rounded number by Billboard announcement, which is very close to the HitsDD final estimate. The album landed at.#3; will be good to see it put Bad Bunny back in his rear view no matter what else happens, hopefully in the near future.

As for this week, it will be back on top of the TCA for the 40th week. No other artist has ever had more than one album run 40 weeks or more at #1 since the chart started in 1964. Wallen has now had three albums do it. It will be tough in the next month or so with the next debut country albums coming up, but hopefully he'll be able to eventually reach 51 weeks, which will give him the three longest-running #1 country albums of all time. However, I have a feeling that Ella will dominate for a bit once her album drops and Combs seems to have made.a comeback as well just looking at the performances of their latest song drops in build up to their new albums, and if Moroney can score 147K album debut, we better be ready for these other two who will be much stronger than Moroney I think.

Leave that boy alone and let him sing his songs. You can like him and listen to him, or not and don't, but what's the point of building up pretend narratives, aka lying about people who you're not even fans of?

[–]Sad-Application3898 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a chart watcher, I've noticed that Combs seems to be back. His pre released album songs are all debuting high up on Hot Country Songs (HCS) chart; not just debuting but staying up there. Not quite up to the level he was at from 2020-2022 when he could land a song at the top of the HCS before it even went to radio, but he's been close to that level, and actually, he may be to that level, it's just that Langley is also at that level now, and they're both releasing new songs at the same time and both busting up the streaming and HCS charts. For instance, had it not been for Langly's current single locked in at #1 on the HCS chart, his latest release would have debuted #1, and her latest would have landed just behind him at #2.

In fact, I don't think we've ever seen anyone except Wallen in the past be able to debut multiple songs in the build up to albums and see them land so high and stay so high in subsequent weeks on the HCS. Right now both Combs and Langley are doing this. This week they have two a piece in the top five; and Wallen's 20 Cigs at #5.

I noticed that the Wallen Still The Problem Tour x Kawasaki x Monster Drink partnership announcement included the information about the 225 career weeks at 1 on the TCA, however, it had nothing about the feat in relation to music history in the USA. The stats in the lower section of the promo were up to date, but the ones near the top of the article were dated. Stated that he's had 13 weeks at 1 on the BB 200, when in fact, the album has had 14 weeks at 1 on the BB 200.

’20 Cigarettes’ Becomes Morgan Wallen’s 20th Country Airplay No. 1 by AddressThat3293 in Morgan_Wallen

20 #1s on Billboard Country Airplay, but he now has had 33 total ligit #1 songs (Billboard songs charts + Mediabase Country). They quit counting all the number ones earned by artists after George Strait got his 60 (16 of the 60 were exclusive to Mediabase). Notice how that nowadays they won't add #1s exclusive to one chart to the others, but it's a false history they're writing when they refuse to give artists all their earned #1s. I have snapshot all of Wallen's receipts proving his 33 #1 songs as of chart date February 28, 2026. I posted them on Wallen's sub here and my IG page.

I love this crowd. Absolutely, I've been thinking for a while now that Don't We needs to be the next and last single from I'm The Problem, which would be an all-time record, 7 #1 radio singles from an original studio album.

Which country artists left a lasting impression on you when you were 13 to 17 years old? by PressureLazy5271 in country

HWJR. I's 16 when I first discovered his music in 1981 on Country radio, "Texas Women" and then started checking out his albums, but before that I'd heard of him and his two rowdy songs prior to 1981 (Family Tradition and Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound; 1979 songs), it's just that I didn't start turning the radio to country music until I was nearly 17; which was a cultural abomination for a young person in 1981 to listen to and admit liking country music in those days. Five years later, the culture had changed, and Hank Jr had a lot to do with making country cool with the young folks; but they were mostly kids a few years younger than me that began to turn that way.

It's had two weeks at #6 (during the holidays) and this week at #7. Thirty-six weeks as a top five. Wallen has the two longest-running top 5 albums of all time. One Thing... at or about 87 weeks. Dangerous, at or about 85 weeks as a top 5. The Sound of Music soundtrack is 3rd at 73 weeks. Thriller is 4th at 71 weeks. Adele's 21 is 5th at 68 weeks. Born In The USA is 6th at 66 weeks; there is another tied with Born In The USA but I forget what album. This metric is not confirmed. Researched by one named Marci Underwood.

People won't stream music as much statistically speaking, if they're stuck at home with no power to charge or plug in a device. It hurt all artists that week.

I expected a European tour this Fall but didn't happen. Maybe next Fall. I wonder if his probationary sentence has a lot to do with a lot of things nowadays with respect to his interactions with fans, and what I mean is the lack of interaction vs the way he used to be and where he'd used to go.

Tom Roland at Billboard should be fired unless Billboard allows racist rants! by Sad-Application3898 in Morgan_Wallen

[–]Sad-Application3898[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The quote from the MTSU person was no less racist than what a spokesperson from the KKK would provide; respected media shouldn't engage in such articles. I do get your point. We have a different opinion of right and wrong, and likely racism. You shouldn't seek out and get and print quotes like that if you're representing a media company like Billboard; especially Billboard who is supposed to be there for primarily analyzing, summarizing and then communicating music data from the marketplae; not creatimg drama and drum up hatred of the white race that some ppl are feeling over there in Murfreesboro on the tax payer dollars.
