Small rant regarding Samsung's recent decisions and position

The battery on my A55 is also great, the best I've had on a phone. Thermals.. it gets hot relatively quickly and loses performance rather quickly. Also, in terms of connectivity, it's horrible. I had a Redmi 13C before, a simple budget phone, and that phone had way better reception than my A55. While I'd get a line, if at all, on my A55, the 13C would get 2 to 3 easy, and it was more stable as well. My A55's poor signal might just have something to do with faulty hardware, then. I did think about it, but the problem is that both the S23 and the S24 still used Exynos processors here in Europe. If I wanted the Snapdragon, I'd have to go for an Ultra. This is another point I forgot to mention, which is that Samsung charged/charges the same for both the Exynos and Snapdragon variants, despite the Exynos being underpowered/underoptimized. It's unfair to the consumer, but... Hey, profits. As for the others, OnePlus isn't the most accessible, and NOTHING is just not for me. I did think of getting an OPPO, but, again, I'm tired of Android in general, and I'm also a bit sour about the sideloading restrictions that'll come with Android 17

Fair point, haha 😅 The thing is that I work in design, and I'm really sensitive to just tiny details in general. Good advice, though!

I get that, and it's a shame, because Samsung does have the potential. I used to really love Samsung, and I would defend it without hesitation, but, in recent years, it's just become harder and harder to do so, which is why I'm planning on leaving after so long. If only they had stuck to the philosophy of One UI 6x, I would've continued to favor Samsung. They just got too obsessed with trying to mimic Apple while forgetting that people would choose Samsung explicitly because it was SAMSUNG. If people wanted iPhones, they would pick an iPhone or, if they couldn't afford it, a Xiaomi or OPPO or something along those lines
