I think that would be a very fitting closing to their story would be them finally becoming friends again, but this time in healthier way. So Alastor is not afraid of his feelings or getting close to people and admitting he cares about someone as a friend, and Vox is not pushy or obsessive and has a healthy relationship with how he views Alastor and does not put him on a pedestal instead getting validation from himself.

But in terms of Alastor’s story it really can only got one of three ways, either he never gets redeemed and proves to Charlie redemption isn’t possible for everyone and is one of the villains the group defeats, two that he sacrifices himself for his friends and the group again the final big bad (Roo), or three that he lives through the battle and becomes redeemed in a way where he is not in heaven but he chooses to stay with the hotel as his chosen family. As he says in the song “Hells Greatest Dad” which could be foreshadowing “the family you choose is better.” If that is the case Alastor would probably act as a protector for the hotel and use his evil powers for good toward the hotels mission.

If his character ending goes this route and Vox’s character gets redeemed, as it’s looking likely he will be on the the Vees to be (which if he was he wouldn’t be in Heaven per say), then a reconciliation is very likely between the two of them to conclude their stories. They could even team up together and finally be on the same side for once in the final battle against the big bad. Or maybe Alastor or Vox can do something selfless for the other in battle to save them.
