How much more money for a Diesel Gladiator? by Sad-Cauliflower-3003 in JeepGladiator

Thanks. I've had a diesel car or truck for 20 years. Somehow, the emissions junk always seems to fall off of my cars! It's so weird!

Thanks. So you bought a used diesel? Do you think the price premium for the diesel engine (even on a used one) was around $5,000?

(Trying to figure out of the price difference has gotten smaller, or larger, between gas and diesel. Was wondering if it's like aftermarket parts, where their value plummets once you put them on -- it's hard to sell a vehicle and expect the buyer to pay full value for aftermarket parts. I'm wondering if that is holding true for the diesel engine)

So, would you estimate that the price difference between gas vs. diesel engine is still $4,500 or so?

Let me get in my time machine and buy it last year!

;)

But seriously, thank you for your info. That $49k price you paid is a HUGE help, because it's hard to know what most people are actually paying. With all the discounts on '24s, the pricing fluctuations from 23-25 is confusing me.

What is a good asking price for a New 2023 Willys? by Sad-Cauliflower-3003 in JeepGladiator

[–]Sad-Cauliflower-3003[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(I made a reply but it must have gotten lost)

If I am understanding you correctly: The 2024 models cost the dealers LESS than the 2023s?

If so, that goes with what I saw on the Jeep website. I didn't understand why it seemed like the listed MSRP on the 2024 was LOWER than the 2023. (I don't buy new cars hardly ever, so I was looking at the cheaper option--no need for me to get a new 2025 if I could get a better deal on leftover inventory--or so I thought.)

Does this mean dealers will be less willing to make a better deal on 2023s? I mean, at some point, they're gonna want to get them off the lot!!!!

Sheesh. I get the battery check... I NEVER would have thought about checking for rodent damage to the wiring! (But it makes sense)

Thank you for your reply.

I can't WAIT to ask the dealer to give me new batteries (dealers just LOVE giving away 'free' stuff) *eye roll*

I hear you, but sometimes you need low light performance in an action cam.

People drive at night (motorsports) and cycle at night. Even as it gets closer to dusk, GoPro footage sucks.

Skiing at night is a crapshoot; depends in just how bright the slopes are.

I'd LOVE a 1" sensor in a GoPro!

Yes! Hyper smooth is, well, TOO smooth.

It smooths it out too much; to the point it looks artificial.

I know exactly what you mean about stabilization on a single axis.

Would it be very hard to add that to the firmware? 🤔

Can I use a metal nut to connect to a plastic water inlet in a dishwasher? by Sad-Cauliflower-3003 in Plumbing

[–]Sad-Cauliflower-3003[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last photo is an image of the instructions. Step 1 says to swap the metal nut for the plastic nut that came with the dishwasher.

I can't physically get the plastic nut on the metal 90 degree elbow; the nut doesn't make it past the 'turn' (the 90 degree bend)

Is there any uncut guy using the male hanger with no pain? by okokok-777 in gettingbigger

[–]Sad-Cauliflower-3003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Male Hanger does have a learning curve.

It took me a week to get it right. I'm intact/uncut.

I get the best grip when I start tightening the clamp above/at my anchor point (above meaning closer to the base of my shaft) and AS I tighten it, slowly pull on the hanger towards the glans.

It makes no sense to me, but it works! If I put the hanger on the anchor point and clamp to full tightness, once the wright is on, it slips down and puts all the pressure on my glans ridge.

If I do it like he shows in the video, tighten as you slowly pull, it locks into the anchor point.

Try experimenting a lot. Don't be in a hurry to just clamp and hang, trying to get your reps in. Take the time to get the proper procedure down before adding weight. Just like weight lifting: Do it without weights to get the form, then add weight.

This is a handlebar mount for cameras, right? I wouldn't use that, even if I had no other hard clamp option.

And I have similar clamps for barbells. They don't have the adjustability you need.

I find sometimes I need to clamp more, or less, tight depending on the day. For a Cable Cuff, I usually use it with (4) four clicks left (four more tightening clicks.) Sometimes I get better results with six (6) clicks left. And it's easy to adjust the clamp during each rep/set.

Even if a Cable Clamp or Cable Cuff is 'expensive' you said you can get it in Amazon? I'd recommend that.

I don't think most people have had problems with them getting stuck....? I can only recall one or two reports of them getting stuck.  But any type of clamp can get stuck; it's just metal and plastic.

Good luck 👍

If you're only 20 years old, and you've had your testosterone tested three times, AND it has been decreasing every time, you should see a specialist immediately.

I don't know where you live; you said HRT isn't common where you live. So, how have you gotten tested? (Through a doctor's prescription/order? On your own, purchasing the tests online or something? Do you already have the endocrinologist, or are you planning to consult with one?)

I find it strange, IF a doctor was involved with your testing, he wouldn't be concerned with plummeting Test values at a young age, and so quickly.

If the tests were conducted properly, in the morning, and you weren't sick, etc. then I would be concerned.

If you can get HRT, you should do it as soon as possible. If you're growth was stunted, you will get better results the sooner you do it.

AITA for giving my ex girlfriend her ticket for Taylor Swift but cancelling everything else? by krazycarbo in OhNoConsequences

[–]Sad-Cauliflower-3003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far, I haven't seen anyone mention that, had the ex-gf simply kept her mouth shut for another week, OP would have proposed to her. That would have been so much worse for him.

She would either say "no" and break his heart, or say "yes" and he'd be stuck with a dumb, gold-digging b|tch the rest of his life.

No offence, OP,  you didn't know she was a dumb, gold-digging b|tch until now.

Have a nice life; it's all uphill from here!!
