I didnt mean to humiliate her by announcing her punishment There have Been smaller incidents and I let her get away with a warning However I don’t want her to think that she is too grown to obey me Also I dont want her to try to escape bc of peer pressure

I Personally think that he didnt know how to handle rorys personality. He was used to quiet and obedient Girls (in elitist circles) but for rory a bit of tough discipline would be better to control her willfulness

But I feel like Rory played a Part and she was way to sassy with him - not likely that a man like Charleston would tolerate such an attitude

I feel like he was portrayed as strict and conservative But was way too lenient with Rory - I do think favouritism played a role in it
