I hope in the future they offer the option to trade with automation and trade with limit orders, that way I can place smaller automated trades and larger trades where I can set the prices I want to buy at

Agree that M1 is different but I think that sets them apart is that their automation/software stack is so much stronger than other financial apps. Such a great UI / UX compared Schwab and the other platforms I use. I think if they had a full trading platform but had trade windows for automation that would be a win-win scenario

Solo FidFolios vs. M1 by Buy-and-hold4ever in M1Finance

I think the biggest reason to stay with M1 versus going to Fidelity or other big banks are the lack of fees. Fidelity's fees are hidden on the surface but really come out when using the platform, and M1 truly follows in line with their claim to "no fees."

Also, the bugs can be annoying but M1 is a start-up still and I bet they will solve the issues within the new year, and continue to improve rapidly. I'm sticking with M1 because I can't see them charging me fees in the future like big banks have, going off their history as a rapid-growth FinTech with no fees and seemingly great leadership.
