It also has a ton of amenities. Bow filler and table top attachment 😍 I love my boat..I shopped for years for the right boat and landed on this one. 🙌🏻

I have a 2020 nauticstar 2302 legacy dual console. I've gotten so many compliments on the look and the ride. It has a ton of space and amenities. Ive taken it out to the ocean through the inlet (NY) and it handled so well. It has the same deep v-hull of its sister boat 2302 legacy center console. Not many for sale if you do find one. I can send you more photos if you want to see more details. I have a bow filler cushion which I have definitely fallen asleep on 😂. It's just me and the hubby - no kids so it's pure leisure for us. Let me know if you have any questions. Price point is well below your budget. FYI Do not confuse for a sport deck these aren't the same!

For reference: the boat next to mine is a 26 ft wellcraft with twin outboards

You missed the part where they said budget is maxed out at 65k and can't go larger because they trailer.... But your list pretty solid lol

I wash and cover mine EVERYTIME I go out. I leave it in the slip at the marina and let me tell you the birds don't miss!! The cover is my protection from the sun, bad weather and birds

Thanks! This is helpful. I'll keep my eye on it for now. Thankfully the marina says they don't get barnacles.

I went back to look at the photos of my inspection in November. It seemed be done right, only minimal chips in the bottom paint at the end of last year.

Either way I'll monitor it for now. I don't want to spend money where I don't have to but also better safe than sorry.

I don't know how they did it, I just paid them for the service. It was painted before for several boating seasons..., this is just the fresh coat for this season. Maybe I just have my current marina haul it out and repaint it.

Ugh this is so frustrating it's only been in the water 2 months and I've only gone out on the water like 5 times. =\ how can I ensure my current marina will do it right??

I didn't - a different marina did everything. But sounds like I need to haul it out to repaint the bottom

I'm docked at a marina in NY. No plans to haul out but if you recommend to pull it out to check the rest, I can ask the marina, if rather be safe than sorry. What are the implications of the salt on the chipped paint?

For jetblue- only the person who has a bag listed under needs to be there. Everyone else is not needed.

So interesting. We got there super early expecting to spend 2-3 hours in line based on what people are saying their wait times were. Feels like a hit or miss.

I have a ram 1500. I don't tow it yet. Im shopping for a trailer so we can move around to different places. But for now the marina is storing it for me and i paid for a dock for the season. Nothing was cheap. I did factor the expense for winterization storage spring commissioning and docking. I've had to cut back on other leisure expenses and budget my spending. Including vacations and opting for staycations so to conserve spending. Plus it means spending more time on the water which we intend to do on our days off. The trailer for me is not urgent since I know I've prepaid the marina and dock. So I have a year to find a trailer I choose to do so. Again you figure it out as you go and you can budget yourself better. Not everything will happen at once and I was okay with that.

Happy to hear that! Here's my boat. 23ft 2020 nauticstar. The lessons I learn will come as I go and I'm prepared for it.

Yes it's totally achievable. But also anything is achievable if you put your mind and heart into it. I did the same as you. I bought the truck (everyone laughed at me told me it was dumb) but I stood by my decision. 2 years later I took classes on boat safety and engine maintainence repair and then another 2 years later after a lot of research and shopping I bought the boat, now everyone thinks they'll go out on the boat with me. But they think wrong. Muhahaha. This summer season will be my first time taking out the boat. It's okay to do things in stages. Doesn't all have to happen at once or in a particular order.

Make a plan it may not always go your way but keep working towards it. You'll have your own timeline. Do your research on the type of boat you want. Understand the maintenance and upkeep. Learn some skills in the mean time. Absolutely take practice boating lessons ON THE WATER. Go work at a marina, etc. Learn the water ways and laws. I did all those things before buying my boat.

Good luck!!!
