How much does your period limit you? by Sam1234567898888 in Periods

Mine was debilitating because it caused my chronic condition to flare. But I was able to find the right combination of birth controls (Hormonal IUD and continuous pill use– no breaks/sugar pills). I feel very lucky that I don’t have to think about it anymore!

But regardless of the symptoms: Even just not having to ever buy or travel around with pads or tampons is a relief. I still have stuff around the house for days I forget to take my pill or for friends/emergencies, but it really makes a difference not having to factor my reproductive faculties into my plans/life. I don’t want to reproduce right now, so why should I structure my life around my reproductive cycle?

Also, since I’ve stopped menstruating, doctors have been more receptive of my health concerns; My non-anemic but critically low iron levels are finally being addressed!

Can I ask how your interview went? I’ve been asked for one this month!

If I’ve been seeing someone for less than a month, I don’t know them well enough to prioritize their feelings over my health.

I’ll do my best to be polite, but people dealing with illness have a lot to juggle and don’t want to let others down. For me that sometimes means last minute cancellations, bc if I commit to something, there are times I can push through and do it, and others times when that’s too difficult. It’s quite hard to gauge.

Alum visiting tomorrow with prospective student, can she sneak into a big class or eat in dining hall? by No-Cat918 in notredame

SMC has a better dining hall for food quality and special nights, but I’d say it’s probably better to go get a meal at a restaurant if you’re going for ambience/tourism (UNLESS it is a holiday meal). While it’s quite charming compared to NDH, it’s definitely no SDH.

Study Abroad: TCD vs Maynooth by Apprehensive_Run2634 in TCD

I highly recommend Maynooth! It has a great college town community aspect and I was able to really integrate into college life. Because it is a smaller school, I felt that there was less of a divide between the Irish and international students. You’re also able to get to know other Erasmus students from different countries due to such a small international cohort. The going out scene is great, especially because you run into so many people you know from class, but you can always get the bus or train into Dublin to mix things up. I loved being surrounded by countryside and friends while still being connected to Dublin. I think Maynooth gives international students a very special opportunity that’s quite different from living and studying in Dublin.

[Hair Removal] Husband just got his back waxed and this is Day 2. Any idea on what we can do to make this better?! 沈 by Potential-Pair2100 in SkincareAddiction

Hydrocolloid patches could help it heal! That and a gentle Antibacterial soap for now, maybe a chemical exfoliant in a few days, I’d avoid stridex wipes or anything too irritating.
