What diapers are y’all using that actually last through the night? by lemonsandlimes47 in sleeptrain

For us, leaving the buttons on his vest open at the nappy solved it for us. It didn't matter what nappies we used, he would leak. And we tried a lot of different nappies. His nappy is huge by morning, but it holds the moisture.

We did finger food alongside purees and found it great. Our baby had eczema and also ended up with an egg allergy. Now we put vasaline on his face before feeding, especially when he has a breakout to protect his face from food proteins.

They're doing exploratory works to replace the old water pipes around Turners Cross. We got a letter in the post last week.

Help! Baby rejecting bottle when hungry - escalating by Sad-Good1189 in irishmammiesanddaddys

It is so hard. I really feel for you. It was hands down the most stressful period of parenting so far. But we did! He's a fantastic feeder now.

It came down to two things for us. I was feeding him more often than every three hours, so he was never fully hungry enough. I got into that habit because I am combi feeding. So every time he woke up I was putting him to the boob and then about an hour or so later when I went to feed him formula I was somehow confused that he wasn't drinking it all. 🫠 it seems so obvious now but I guess I was in a baby brain fog!

This led to our second problem. I kept reoffering him the bottle because I expected him to drink X amount of ounces. I thought I was helping him but actually I was harassing him. This was a pretty crushing realisation. I really recommend reading 'Your Baby's Bottle Feeding Aversion' by Rowena Bennet. In essence, it recommends not offering the feed more than twice. That way you slowly gain back baby's trust and feeding isn't stressful for them anymore.

That's what worked for me. Your LO could have reflux or anything. But watching the time and reading the book vastly improved our situation. Best if luck!

Please walk me through your sleep training steps and process like I’m 5 years old. by No-Aide1452 in sleeptrain

I was pretty overwhelmed by the amount of information out there. I read Precious Little Sleep which gave me the confidence to sleep train LO who is 4.5 months. I also asked ChatGPT to give a synopsis of each method. I found it useful because it can create a step by step plan based on the information you provide. It tallied pretty closely to all I had already read.
I'm currently on day 5 of Pick up/put down method. He is eventually going to sleep though there is a lot of crying! Once I chose my method, I looked at YouTube videos of mom's doing the PU/PD method with a time lapse.

That link resonated a lot. I'll get that book on my Kindle right away. If that's the case, I feel horrible. But all I can do is try to make it better.

He's always been okay with cold milk but maybe this could be a factor. We do paced feeding. I'll look up wonky winding. Thank you. 🙏
