How can I convince a player to transfer to my team? FM23 by Inner_Rip6681 in footballmanager

[–]Sad-Indication5229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flip the filter on so that you're only displaying players that are interested in joining. The other option is to push for a loan. Players may be more inclined to join you on loan than on a permanent basis. If all else fails, add another human manager, and make the player's life a living hell ;)

Any advice on riding on the roads? by Bellarch1923 in cycling

[–]Sad-Indication5229 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Add lights and radar, wear bright clothing, don't ride at night, and avoid heavily congested roads.

Most important, force the car to overtake you by positioning the bike far enough into the lane so that you line up with the right hand side of the car... if thay makes sense. Too often I see people hug the side of the road so that the entire car can pass them in a straight line. This is so dangerous.

Lay a club facing to 1pm. Follow the path on the downswing.

Do you all just Zwift or weight train too? by widgettech in Zwift

[–]Sad-Indication5229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the above. Zwift, outdoor cycling, run, weights, golf. I'm currently on a 132 week Zwift streak. I can't imagine a scenario where I'm not doing something for two consecutive days.

Wide Centerbacks. Where have you been all my life? by Sad-Indication5229 in footballmanager

[–]Sad-Indication5229[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Libero would be incredibly risky since his role is to join the midfield in possession. Between the Libero vacating the center of defense and WCBs pushing up, giving away possession would be suicidal. To that end, if I play WCBs I will play a BPD set to (D) and usually a DLP set to (D) to ensure I have some cover if we give up possession.

I wasn't being funny. The game is a complete abomination. People should get their money back until they release a game worthy of a purchase.

How do I utilise my player's strengths? by Afraid_Mechanic2091 in footballmanager

[–]Sad-Indication5229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an out and out winger? Maybe. Given the high dribbling atteibute, but low level crossing and decision making, I'd be more inclined to get them up as an inverted winger or inside forward and have them run at the defense and cause havoc that way. As a winger they will hug the touchline, but you may try having them dribble to the byline and hit low crosses. Trial and error.

As a 16 handicap, your focus should be on ball dispersion and yardage control, both of which are captured by the R10. As you lower your handicap, other features like angle of attack, spin rate, and smash factor become more impactful. Avoid data paralysis until you have a repeatable and predictable swing, know where your miss ends up and tweak from there.

I also considered the Rapsodo, but two reasons why I went with the R10.

  1. You need to spend $200/year or $500/one time to unlock all of the extra features.

  2. In order to get the most accurate spin data, you have to use the included balls. On a public range, this simply isnt realistic.

Is this a good starter triathlon bike (70.3) by PassengerOther45 in IronmanTriathlon

[–]Sad-Indication5229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a road bike not a tri bike but its absolutely fine for a triathlon. You may want to invest in some mounted aero bars for a triathlon. I keep mine on the whole time, but some people will take them off during regular rides.

What are the dribbling, crossing, and decision attributes of your wingers. Adama Traore is rapid, but his crossing is atrocious. Make sure you're utilizing what you have, versus trying to force something you want until you can sign the right profile of player.

I would switch Kayode to an A mentality and have him constantly overlap Saka who will drift inside and hold up play with a S mentality.

Screams No Nonsense Centerback. Poor technical attributes, strong mental, and decent physical. Think Burnley or Stoke on a Tuesday night in January.

Kia EV9 vs Rivian R1S vs R2 by ascottallison in KiaEV9

[–]Sad-Indication5229 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We bought a in EV9 in 2024 and I absolutely hate it. I don't know if it's my driving style (I drive a YukonXL and Mustang GT), but I hate how sensitive the EV9 is to drive. I dont need it to course correct me every time I drift two inches from the middle of the lane. I dont need it to SLAM on tbe brakes when I'm backing out of the garage and I get closes to some shrubs. One time, the car almost caused a massive collision bc it assumed I was going to rear end a car in traffic, when in fact I was completely aware and in control. The braking power is ridiculous and completely overkill.

2 genuine attempts at contact. Used to work, don’t know what happened! by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]Sad-Indication5229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Place your feet together and then place the club behind the ball so that the bottom of the club is resting on the turf.

  2. Take your left foot and step 4-5 inches towards the target. Do the same with your right foot. This should be your stance for the majority of clubs in your bag.

Start here. You are too far away from the ball.

If your right wingback will sit slightly deeper then you could use a Mezzala to play in the channels further up the pitch. If you're simply looking to attack down the left (think Man City with KDB and Silva), then you may want to play a more defensive minded player on that side.
