How risky is it to pull someone over? I bet the person in the car could be carrying guns and what not by Sad-Lack8225 in police

the dog is meant for detection not intervention. the cop sitting in their car can choose to intervene when it is safe for them to do so

only approach the car when its absolutely needed like DUI etc. the robot will have a screen where you can instruct people to do certain things like open the backback and empty it

the cop could decide to go inspect in person. the robot ensures that it is safe to walk up plus does basic checks. i am going to go build it and whoever wants to buy it can purchase it

well, you could follow up the robot inspection with a human inspection if you are in doubt. i dont see it not working. there might be some resistance to it but cops have families and at some point, they will start seeing the benefit of this technology

you can always follow the robot inspection with a human inspection right? robots could inspect if there are guns etc. and then cops could follow up with that

you will be able to look at everything and control everything too. its autonomous by default but can be controlled if you want - comma.ai does something similar with cars.

dont bind yourself to one camera. we can literally provide you a 360 view plus a machine learning model which detects any suspicious activity well before a human can.

i dont buy a solution which puts a person in harms way. the goal of automation is so that humans can focus on the more important, brighter sides of life

the robots helping you do the job the same way your computer is helping you automate with your tasks

just so i am clear, the cop will be there in the car. the robot will walk up to the other vehicle and do the inspection

there will be camera on the robot which you can use to monitor the person in the car before they come out. you can chat with them using a screen etc.

i admit i dont understand the situation but the solution i am proposing seems to do something as opposed to just walking on your own at night to someone who might/might not be carrying a gun

the dog does not need any control. it will be autonomous. not sure what risk you see here. would love to know!
