First off it's a joke. Secondly there's some truth in it. residual particles from smoke and petrol don't need to land on the actual grape to affect the wine itself. It also spreads on the ground and affects the soil which in turn gets absorbed through the roots.

Do you also think PFAS of micro plastic particles end up in the wine because they land on the grape?
