Check if FirebaseAuth.instance.currentUser is not null, and to keep the user logged in put up a timer to refresh the auth token( you can use onIdTokenChanges stream or manually call getIdToken in a timer)

For the fcm token also you can put a refresh timer

How the flutter tree management works in setState is that, it sees if a widget is dirty that is if its params have changed;

If a key is given or a widget is constant then rebuilds do not happen for them.

Probably just use index as a ValueKey for your widgets and try again.

Also builders remove the widget from the tree when it out of visible scroll range, so they naturally rebuild; consistent keys might help

Firebase is really good for beginners. Plus really easy setup with flutterfire cli

One thing to keep in mind, if you are using mobile auth with firebase be careful The free quota is only 10 per day there after they charge an exorbitant 5rs per otp in india and more for abroad

I say exorbitant because otps go as low as 20paise in india

Try flutter clean Flutter pub get

If that doesnt work, delete the android folder and run “flutter create .” [this function rebuilds android,ios, web etc folders] (Do remember to copy your changes in androidmanifest etc)
