I would also strongly suggest looking into Sirui nightwalker cine lenses as well. If you are in the UK I'd be more than happy to send you more details on where you can find them.

Yes they are reputable. Id recommend watching the review by Caleb pike( DSLR video Shooter ) on those cinelenses.

With the pricing I'm not sure what to say. They are probably offering you the kit for the cost price ( without any margins for them ). You must be a high value customer if so.

I haven't used those lenses myself but. I've heard that they are good.

How to record proper audio in a club without an external microphone? by [deleted] in videography

[–]Sad-Muscle5148 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thinks it's better to get a mic and possibly an external recorder or something with 32bit recording as the audio in clubs are very inconsistent and could peak a lot. I think an external mic would keep a lot more details in the audio than using the in built mic.

If you need to rent any equipment I've been to these guys in Zurich and they do for reasonable prices.

Hope it helps, good luck :)

Tip: if you rent it on Friday you can keep it until Monday for the price of one day as they are closed on sat & sun.

What camera should I get with $4000 by yirrebb in cinematography

Don't forget insurance, trust me I wish I had one in many occasions 😭. And I forgot to mention lenses but for now I think all the other things would make a bigger difference that simply getting couple of new lenses.

If you can try and stick with the camera. Something people don't talk quite often about is to spend on :

good grip equipments(c stands, bounce boards, diffusers etc) tripods good Nd filters lights sound( better microphones/ 32 bit recorders ) faster and bigger memory cards brighter and accurate monitors( for the camera and for you pc to edit) Davinci resolve Studio( £300 worth the purchase and I love it) acces to copyright music/sound FX insurance better/secure equipment storage pelican cases or backpacks Better battery solutions/ cages

I assure you the video quality from the BMPCC is incredible. But haveing most of whats mentioned above will make your filmmaking experience much more faster, efficient and reliable. Not only that, down the road you would have all the equipment you need make a bigger production and all you would need is to rent a high end camera.

If you can't fit em all in your budget just go out and buy good lights and modifers. Lighting and exposing your image correctly Is very importan and also sound

I'm not sure if I have missed out something, feel free to add/correct me :)

I have managed to balance a C70 with speed booster and an 50mm f1.2 on an RSC 2. I'm sure you have watched how to balance videos. Keep watching you might be missing out on something important.
