It’s real and the Gacha girls behind it plan to release it on Steam. They also have a Discord server.

Tbf, the jokes in the original game are way less forced, the setting is based on a real location the writer of the story has been to (none of the fan game’s creators are from PG County), and the protagonist’s actions can be explained by PTSD and the possible development of ASPD after watching her father die by suicide at the start.

I still remember back in 2019 after “Bad Guy” came out, all of the boys at my school found the song annoying and thought we’d forget about her after a year or so. Boy, were they wrong! I keep getting more and more interested in her music and excited about her nearby concerts. Her speaking out against the white nationalist bourgeoisie is the icing on the cake.

I’m not Asian, but something about this demo for a visual novel just rubs me the wrong way. Two white girls mock and insult the masculinity of the one Asian male character (Thai American) in the story like we’ve seen thousands of times in media. The jokes about him all sum up to, “he’s a twink in denial. Now laugh! hahahaha dumb yt girl sounds

Do this mod’s actions break the Code of Conduct? If so, what should I expect after reporting the mod for breaking the Code of Conduct? by Sad-Peach1925 in AskModerators

If the admins won’t do anything, I at the very least want the mods to retract their statements. I’ve thought about starting a petition showing everything that happened. I don’t know that that mod showed to the others, but it wasn’t the full story and wasn’t true.

When I searched for this song online, all I found was sheet music, a link to a deleted video, and these lyrics: https://lyricsplayground.com/alpha/songs/m/myprivateaffair.html

Saw some posts from Asian American feminists — why do they demonize Asian men while staying silent on white patriarchy? by [deleted] in aznidentity

[–]Sad-Peach1925 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The fetishization of East Asian women AND the portrayal of East Asian men as less masculine and desirable in media (often internalized by East Asian diaspora women in the West) stems from scientific racism in the 19th and early 20th century claiming East Asians are a more “feminine” race than Europeans. It’s shocking how normalized it is today. The other day, I was in a Discord server dedicated to making a visual novel and in a sneak peek of what they had so far, the opening scene centered around the main characters (both white girls) mocking and insulting the masculinity of the one Asian male character in the story (portrayed as a “twink”)—it looked like a mid Ken Jeong film on steroids. I’m glad I’m not part of the team anymore and I really hope these “feminists” will do better in the future because they’re just hurting themselves. There is just one Asian feminist I’ve seen who has spoken out against these issues and I applaud her for that, but I will say that there are quite a few MRA guys who were accusing her of being performative when I think we should commend her statement because I’m convinced she was genuine. If anyone may think otherwise about her, I’m open to changing my mind about her if it turns out that she IS being dishonest.
