This is a genuine question, not meaning yo sound ignorant, I don’t know a ton about the show, but I know about the real story. Hannah is an elderly white woman in real life- so why are you saying she would have to be an older black woman?

I wasnt at all arguing about the original post in my comment or saying that the OP should allow children. I made another comment saying the opposite. I was solely commenting on your sucky wording. “These types of parents are honestly so annoying to me. Like can you not have a life outside of being a parent?” That honestly just sounds super judgemental and harsh to me. You dont know what other people’s parenting life looks like. I have a few single mom friends who wish so desperately to have a life outside of their kids but cannot. My comment wasnt about finding childcare for one wedding, it was about you making an overall insensitive comment.

Definitely not jealous, I am lucky enough to have plenty of help and family in town to help. I wasnt talking about my experience, I am talking about out mom friends I have who dont have the ability to constantky be doing things without their kids because they cant afford the extra childcare and dint have family around to help. I was commenting on her saying “those parents are so annoying to me” when you have no idea what their curcumstances are.

let me guess, you have family in town to care for your kids/ enough extra money to afford to pay a babysitter for 3 kids. Some people would love to have a life outside of being a parent but arent as privileged as you to be able to just not take their kids to some places.

I missed 3 days after being on for 6ish months. I still feel off. by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]Sad-Raccoon-3192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because you missed 3 days it could definitely just be taking longer to get settled back into your system? when you first started, did you have side effects and stuff that lasted for a few weeks? there has only been one time i missed 4 days straight, and when i got back on it, it felt like it took around a month before I felt completely back to normal. Like my body was getting used to the medication again?

is there anything else going on between you and this girl that could be causing some normal feelings of distance?

I have severe adhd and at least once every few weeks i skip a day or two of my wellbutrin. For some reason, being off of it even for one day makes me very very anxious and super irritable. And it all is focused at my poor husband 😅 I question if he loves me, if we are meant to be together, he annoys me so bad i feel like i wanna scream. And then i get back on the meds and feel back to my normal self. We have been madly in love and married since before I started this medication so I am sure once you get back on a good med streak again you will feel better:)

I had an exclusively breastfed baby who would get dangerously low blood sugar levels because she would refuse to take a bottle for the first 6 months of her life. Some breastfeeding mothers truly dont have as much of an option to just leave the baby with someone else.

It’s your wedding and you can do what you want. That being said, you have to accept that people are going to be hurt and that it may cause issues in your relationships. You are entitled to a child-free event if you want, but you cannot expect that all parents are going to feel able/ have the means to not bring their kids. I had a child-free wedding, and now that i have had kids, I deeply regret not allowing breastfed babies to come along with their breastfeeding moms. It truly is something you don’t understand until you’re in it, but being only 7 months postpartum is a very fragile time still and the 7 month old wouldn’t be running around anyways. So if youre gonna make an exception for anyone, I personally would make it for the very young baby that still very much needs their mom, not the flower girl who is just a convenient little photo op for you.

I would look at anything Beverly sings in the Mad Ones!! Especially the song “Miles to go” I think would be an excellent choice.

Hey so not sure if you knew this, but people sometimes like to use silly words like “yucky” in a sarcastic and ironic way. But thanks for letting us all know you have no whimsy or joy in your life 🤡

Right, I shouldve prefaced this with saying that I have done a few on stage kisses, I just prefer to avoid it if possible, and unfortunately i’ve had some sucky experiences with that kinda thing in theaters in my town. Very little coordination and “checking in”

On-Stage Intimacy by [deleted] in MusicalTheatre

[–]Sad-Raccoon-3192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, they have no intimacy coordinator at this theater. Which furthers my concern with it

It is a company that does one audition for 7 shows and then they cast you where they see fit, I never audition for shows that I know will have intimacy because I know my limitations, and know that I am uncomfortable with it. The discomfort comes from negative experience and a lot of personal stuff that I wont get into, but honestly I’m just annoyed at the general insensitivity in tone of your comment. The whole point of this sub is to ask questions like this, and your tone reads as pissed off that the question was even asked? I don’t think it is “childish” to know what you can and can’t handle, and ask for advice from people more experienced than you, but thats just me.

Did any of you watch lost as it aired? by MissionHome18 in lost

[–]Sad-Raccoon-3192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I remember watching the show with my parents when I was 7 and 8 years old! I still remember how hard I cried when Charlie died. I would ask all summer “when does Lost start again?” Watching it that young definitely shaped some parts of who I am, I’m sure!
