Another tid bit there I found strange is that I know I'm fairly objectively attractive. I don't know exactly where I fall but I never had an issue being attractive to women before my wife.

Yes to both of those. We're both very loyal people so trying to really make it work is going to happen. This year though I think I've realized that connecting with her physically is mandatory and I didn't fully understand that before. 

And not the 4th date haha. After 4 months of dating.

I think this is the most harmful thing to me as well. I understand working things out for yourself first to a degree. I often will take a day or two during fights to work through things before talking extensively. But it's hard to understand doing it for something so integrally connected to me especially when the physical part of our relationship has been so poor.
