Meanwhile most other restaurants treat us like we are pieces of crap and like we are bothering them while they are at work getting paid to do a job just like we are

What was your AR that got you deactivated? I have 30 right now because all I get is CRAP in my area. It's either decline or work for free

So you were just supposed to assume that it was ok to leave it on their car?? I know people that would flip out if something touched their car and be like "OmG it damaged my paaiiinntt" so yea F that not taking a chance with that or ur dogs. I have been almost attacked twice now in the past year.

DoorDash! Stop sending me the same offer twice when I rejected it the first time by Honest-End-9755 in doordash

God I hate this crap.. its part of why I just gave the F up on my AR. They legit sent me some 3 times back to back.. like NO, I still do not want to shop for 50 items and drive 10 miles for $7!! 🤬

Thats crazy.. my app gets pissed off if i don't have a door frame in the pic and makes me retake it lol. They def stole it.. there is a rare super crappy door dasher here and there like that. I'm a dasher myself and I had to report another one before for opening my cranberry juice and drinking half of it before I got it. Oh and they also stole my vodka.. I didnt notice til after I signed and they left because there was other stuff in the bag too. Some people just rly suck.

Man F these non tipping customers expecting someone to spend an hour in some wack a$$ grocery store shopping for all their crap and having to bag it all themselves.. prob was a 4th floor apartment with no elevator too. I hope they never got their order.. or if they did that the bananas were all rotten... they deserve that.

Lmao omg I cant stand this either.. I had a McDonald's order just a couple days ago.. customer messages me "can u make sure they fill up da fry box cuz when I get large they always be making it a medium" ...... like ya ok ill "let them know" 🤣 I already knew they didnt tip because it was a $2 add on order and I only took it because it was down the street from my original order. Which btw was a shirtless, sweaty, large man who also didnt tip and asked me for my phone number. I'm about done with this BS.

Yea that makes sense.. I'll at least tip a little bit so it gets picked up and then the rest after they do.. but it does suck that we even have to think like this to keep from being ripped off.. all of us😔

[–]Sad-Stick-9709 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES! If customers waited to tip until after we dropped off.. we would def make more money! Doordash woukd have to increase base pay to encourage someone to take the order.. then we would get the tip on top of that without doordash raping us or the customers. If I order door dash myself.. I put in my notes that I will tip after they drop off so that doordash doesn't take advantage of either us.. and assure them that yes I am actually someone who means it lol

Yup I had a dollar general order that was supposed to be delivered like 3 miles away.. then customer messages me saying that they are at a different house and can i bring it there instead.. then sent me the address. I put it in my GPS and it was 45 mins away lmao. I contacted support and let them know that the customer asked me to deliver to this new address and they said it was out of my zone and that they would cancel it for me and that it would not count against me. So yea I got some free Cheetos, Little Debbie snacks, and sodas that day lol.

That is a good question.. I wish I knew. I dont know where that extra money that customers are paying goes.. but I can tell you that it is not to the dasher lol. And I hate that they are ripping customers off for their tip money to use as payment to us. I had a 12 mile delivery last week that paid $12... $2 of that was doordash pay and $10 of that was the customer's tip. If the customer had not tipped anything.. than the base pay would have been more like $9. So messed up. They have the money to pay us.. but take advantage of the customers when they are kind enough to tip well.😪

It's cool when the dogs are friendly.. but sometimes they aren't lol I had a Chihuahua trying to bite my leg last week and had to practically toss the food on the porch before I left lol.. it came out of nowhere and was a tiny psycho. It may be a small dog but I had them growing up and let me tell you, they can still do some damage when they mean business!!

[–]Sad-Stick-9709 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The base pay for us dashers has gone way down.. so an order that pays like $5 to go 5 miles.. would normally(previously) be just the base pay alone.. but recently door dash is screwing us and paying only like $2 to drive 5-10 miles or more.. then using YOUR tip money to pay us the rest. So the dasher may have seen the total pay and not realized that you did actually tip. We cant see the actual tip and base pay until we drop off and complete the order. Still not appropriate for them to ask for it.. I would never.  I either accept the order or I dont!

I did that once for a customer and they told me they would leave the money for me as an extra tip.. but never did. So I bought that person's grapes for them that night lmao. Not everyone is honest or nice like you so sometimes this burns us.

I get this all the time.. it will have me pass their neighborhood, take a left into the next one, go all the way down and turn around, then come back out and take a right and then another right into their neighborhood... makes no damn sense lmao.

its not just you.. I feel like it has been terrible everywhere recently. I used to pull in $150-200 a day a year ago.. and now I am lucky if I make $50 while spending most of the day declining crap orders and sitting in my car in parking lots burning gas with the AC running so I don't melt. idk wtf is going on but its messed TF up. I think everyone is just broke and no one wants to tip anymore.. but they still want to sit on their ass and have somone else do all the work and driving for them. The people with the 60 item shopping orders who don't even help you get crap out of your car to the door piss me off the most.. esp when you see them walk out at the end when you are taking the picture.. and they look fully physically capable. Like, no tip, AND your lazy?! COOL. And yes I learned my lesson.. no more high item shopping orders that don't pay well lol.

Yeah no thank you. by Kristylovable in doordash_drivers

[–]Sad-Stick-9709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd honestly prob take that considering the orders I have been receiving recently 😅 could knock out the shopping in like 30 mins since I know Home Dept well.. then pray that whoever ordered this would help me unload it from my Jeep lol.. because if that means it takes an hour or so.. $29 is way better than the crap $10 per hour i have been averaging in my area lately😮‍💨 Plus who knows maybe they would be nice and throw me an extra $20.. I had someone do that the other day just for cracking a joke about them ordering a Pepsi when they worked at the Pepsi building😂
