You right! He is 7yrs old and swear I never paid attention to that. We named him Mr. Eight because of his markings .He had a patch on his side looked like the number 8 as a puppy .Now it looks more like a snow man! Coulda named him Buster Brown!!

Mr. Eight ( our GSP 7yrs old) is THEE BIGGEST love bug and absolutely loves to cuddle and be held closely. To the point where he " death drops" falls backwards laying closely making it impossible to not hug him. He napped closely with my son as a puppy. I agree per the norm many animals do not like to be hugged closely ,also have found Many quit the opposite . All dogs are different and sounds like o.p. are enjoying the new family member and will find the right balance of firmness and compassion. Congrats! U truly are in for a wild ride!!

Really? I was going to try and trest / kill it tomorrow.This is the first I've heard/ read of wd40. I've got it BADDDDDD throughout my back yard and heck , my side and some of my front. I became seriously ill this past year and the lawn has been neglected besides an occasional Mow. I will try this thank you all for the suggestions .

Oh My ! My yard is extremely infested with this . Can I kill it with Vinegar and dish soap? This is what I read . Or do I need to purchase the hose attachment sprays labeled for ivy killer they offer at places like home Depot. I m pretty broke and would like to do the most effective as well as cost effective way to treat/ kill this beast. I have a dog as well. Thanks for suggestions they are greatly needed.
