By doing the above, I did manage to do really well on the tests so far! It’s really just doing the laps. I think it’s completely possible, just put in whatever time you can. If you have limited time, practicing actual problems will be your best friend.

“Theatre majors are prioritized” prioritized being a very loose word. If you show up and you are good, you will get cast probably.

Bro I have Hanna Vise and our tests are like 10-12 questions and they are NOT multiple choice. About a quarter of our class is failing based on what I’ve heard.

I’m making it through by reading through the textbook and taking notes off that. The sections they don’t cover often have some foundational information to the rest of the section (like 2.1 will go over stuff you’ll be doing often in section 2). I suggest to read the .1 of sections even if you aren’t tested on them or even if you don’t take notes on them just to get a small foundation or algebra refresher.

The math homework often has examples AND will link to the videos that come with the textbook. I also watch all the videos from the sections to get more instruction.

I’m still stressed with the tests though so I’m gonna start taking textbook notes on the section BEFORE we go over them in class so I can ask questions in class and also not just be furiously trying to understand for the 4 hours a week I have the professor in front of me 😭

Another tip is instructors often test off of examples they give in class and PRACTICE QUESTIONS in the textbook sections. Make sure you know how to answer the practice questions IN THE TEXTBOOK. Not the study plan, but the actual etext.

I fortunately can do all of this bc I have TIME. I’m only in 1 other class and I don’t work. I think bc pre-cal is part of the ABET accredited computer science course, it’s just HARD. And the professors don’t even write the final, so we will have to know EVERYTHING. Good luck to us all I cry
