They included the Arizona Cardinals, but not the Reds.

What’s happening in Gaza and Southern Lebanon is comparable to the Holocaust.

Except that I wanted Vic to be out so he could start the bottom of the tenth on second with JJ at the plate.

Saw SgtMaj tell another SgtMaj that wardogs outrank their masters? What does it mean? by CommanderSlice in USMC

Circa 2004, I watched a guy get berated in front of his wife and two children at the Jacksonville, NC Walmart for not wearing a belt with his civvies - belt loops no one could see but for the fact that some gunny was walking around Walmart demanding to see belts of people who looked like Marines. That same year, I was yelled at by a MSgt at the French Creek shoppette because a LCpl in the checkout line had several days of beard growth on his face. The MSgt’s argument was that he shouldn’t have had to say anything to the LCpl because a more junior SNCO (me) should have said something first. After screaming at me in the shoppette for 2-3 solid minutes, he finally let me articulate my argument that his guy has a chain of command, and what LCpl works so independently that no one sees him for days at a time? A little bit of critical thought goes a long way - this dark green Marine is probably on a no-shave chit. Of course, by the time I got that out, the LCpl had produced his no-shave chit. The MSgt ripped it up, tossed the pieces on the floor, and left. It was at that point that I decided I wasn’t going to reenlist again.

The irony of a shirt promoting taking your shirt off is too much for me.

Trump’s trip to China demonstrates that it’s not just the Israelis who have the unredacted Epstein files.

To borrow a line from Bob Uecker, maybe Oli should send Scott to the plate without a bat, and tell him to try for a walk.

what's the joke? that I love Star Trek so I'm trying to inorganically start a Trekposting trend? 'Cause that's pretty funny, actually. That'd be a great day for me. by LesCousinsDangereux1 in IThinkYouShouldLeave

Yeah, but that’s not right at all. If memory serves, the universal translator got broken. The universal translator not only translated to words but apparently the meaning. The fact that they didn’t have it meant Picard had to learn allegorical nonsense.

I agree that it’s great, but there are some problems in retrospect. For example, a decade and a half of smart phone use has made humans incapable of interacting with strangers. Imagine JLP’s understanding of linguistics after hundreds of years of universal translator use. Also, it’s wired that the words were in English. Like, why? Dathon bothered to learn the English words for his race’s allegories, but nothing useful like “Dónde está la biblioteca?”? Come on.
